From Moncton, NB to Alberta.... NEED A CAMP JOB!!!

Hi everyone! My hubby is leaving here (Moncton, NB) tomorrow to go to Alberta... to find a job as either a floorhand, roustabout, roughneck, leasehand with an oil company. He is looking for somewhere with a camp however, since he won't have a place!
Does anyone have any suggestions??

My suggestion to anyone moving to Alberta is get a job and a place to live lined up before you make the move. Finding a job here is easy, finding a place to live is hard, finding a cheap place to live is impossible.

hello eastcoaster. I'm wondering how your husband has made out looking for an oil job as i'm hoping to do the same thing myself as there is nothing left in ontario and also moncton as i lived there for years.

if he is a floorhand,roustabout,roughneck or leasehand he is going to work on a drilling rig.
Drilling contractors provide camps for there crews or pay subsistance if a town is nearby.
The drilling rigs are a bit slow right now and he will be lucky to get work at this time.

People please,please do not come out to Alberta without lining up some interviews, places to stay, friends to stay with, job offers etc etc.
