Terrapasss is a website where you can calculate your car's emissions.
Its just an estimate, various factors not accounted for... but a good referance and an eye opener.

Basically, it is about the weight of your vehicle in emissions, if you want a real quick calc.

I am trying out the ACETONE added to gas idea, and my calcs are more like 35 mpg [8.5L/100km] with that in the tank, about10% improvement.

On WHO WILL CURE GLOBAL WARMING, I can tell you that it is entirely possible for the people "ourselves" to do it!!
But we won't.
But we COULD - refusing to buy new cars that do not have lower emissions, and by making choices for alternatives wherever possible. The manufacturers will change to meet our demands if we stick to it, its like a labour strike where you just have to hold out for better terms. But we don't use this power...
{another eg. of Consumer power unused: With the toxins that cause cancer, people also control their destiny , and could save themselves by refusing to buy products without toxins in them, or without labeling showing all the contents.

I know we won't do the right thing though... Not until our government tells us it is a real problem that MUST be addressed, people will not do anything that might cost them or inconvience them. Unfortunetly, government is on the corporate side, and not the people's side. {Some people even think that corporations ARE people... its written into law that way, b t w.]

But check out the site, realise your car is adding to the problem, and be a Kharma dude and know that doing the right thing always makes "for a better world overall". And we DO live in an "overall" world, not just our corner. Maybe myopia is the main problem here....
