A woman who slipped and tumbled underneath a moving train in Buenos Aires, Argentina, lived to tell about it.
A video released by Argentina’s national railway operator, Trens Argentinos, shows a woman standing on the platform alongside other passengers waiting for the next train.
The woman, identified only as Candela, can be seen stumbling forward, before falling headfirst and disappearing between two cars.
The video shows shocked passengers gasping, turning away in horror and putting their hands to their heads in disbelief after witnessing Candela’s fall.
First responders who rushed to the station in Gonzalez Catan — about 35 kilometres west of downtown Buenos Aires — rescued the woman.
The video shows rescuers pulling Candela from underneath the train car, and wheeling her away to safety.
Not only did Candela survive, but after a few days in hospital, she was discharged with no scratches on her body.
“I suffered a sudden drop in blood pressure and fainted,” Candela said in an interview with an Argentinian television station, according to the U.K. Sun.
“I tried to warn the person in front of me but don’t remember anything else, even the moment I smashed into the train,” she recalled.
“I don’t know how I’m still alive,” she added. “I’m still trying to make sense of it all.”
