I've never understood this notion that non-renewable resource revenue shouldn't count for equalization. If you're raking in dough, you're raking in dough, and it shouldn't matter where it comes from.

Your raking it in though at a cost to future generations of the province.

True enough.

But I don't see why that should have any bearing on equalization. Equalization is meant to be a short(ish) term way to help the economies of provinces that don't have the economic base.
