Will the two remaining Canadian teams make it past the second round. As I told my parents when the playoffs started, it is going to be Buffalo and Anaheim two teams that got to the Stanley Cup Finals but lost to top teams.

And so far with Buffalo leading Ottawo 2- love and Anaheim leading Colorado 2 - love my prediction is pretty good. I shoul become one of those prediction guys that people listen to before they bet on games and horses and such.

RE: Will Canadian Teams M

If you ever use the term "#-love" again with regard to hockey, I will personally drive to B.C. and thumb you in the eye....

Where are all these Edmonton fans?

Edmonton dropped the first two games, and then won the next four. This evening they outplayed San Jose to dump the fish in six. I would say they look good against the Ducks. If they play like they've played the last four games, the Ducks are toast.

ducks have been relaxing for over a week, but oilers are going to start next game after 2 days of their last game, which is friday.
oilers will be in big trouble at the beginning. It hard to predict, however, how the game will end.

I was really impressed with Smith and Harvey on the 2nd goal. The game was in backcheck mode when these two guys laid the body on the forecheck to put the game away.

I would like to see a Canes/Oilers final.

So no one has given me flax for predicting Edmonton and Ottawa would both loose.

Oh well, a 50% prediction rate is not too bad.

I honestly didn't think Edmonton would beat San Jose. I was wrong.

The addition of Pronger, and Peca, is starting to pay dividends. Edmonton is a very balanced team right now with two good lines and a reasonable third line. If Harvey will play the roll of general shit disturber and stay out of the penalty box, this team could surprise a lot of people.

The Oilers just won the first game against the Ducks.

Three more to go. What wonderful fans we all are.

Lets hope they go all the way. When they first got Pronger and Peca I had a feeling they would be more dangerous than the rest in the west. Roloson has been a big part of this run too. Hopefully he can hold of the Ducks, who look pretty good.

Yeah, the goalie Roloson has been sharp. This is not a team that should have had to claw their way into the playoffs like they did. If a team is going to gel and become a threat, what better time to do it than in the playoffs.

Juan, I shocked my son when I watched the game with him last night. He can't remember the last time I ever sat and watched a hockey game. I told him "sure I have, but I think the last time I did Cujo was in net" He said that was back in '98. 8O  What can I say? It's impossible to live in this city and not catch the fever!! Every second car has an Oilers flag reminding me that we are a city united in a common celebration right now. :tongue10:

Yeah Oilers!!! :wav:

My son and I have played and watched hockey for close to thirty years. We don't get to too many games since I moved to the island but this Spring he took me to the World Junior Championships. Great Hockey.

I know what you mean about that city. I was working in Edmonton when Klondike Days first started. Within two years it was tradition already. When they get behind something it is really something to see. Loved the city and the people, hated the weather. :p

heh well yanno what they say - if ya don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it'll change - most neurotic weather I've ever seen - snow one day, plus 20 the next! 8)

anyway, yeah, it's kinda fun to be here right now - I was stuck in traffic for the last home game - I have to drive right by Rexall Place - and it was 31 degrees that day . Normally this would be a real hassle, but it was kinda like being stuck in a carnival watching everybody all painted up, sportin all their Oilers party gear.... I had lots to entertain me as I creeped along making my way home. loll The after game noise levels around town though - sheesh - impossible to sleep with all that honking, and hollaring - and I live no where near where the REAL action is.

K-days isn't the same anymore I'm afraid. It's the biggest money grab you ever saw. I went every single year when I was a kid, but my kids have only been a couple of times. You need to take at least a couple hundred bucks just to do the minimum stuff now.
