Each year, hockey fans cry foul when their favourite star isn’t voted or named to the NHL’s all-star team.
The league named its Eastern and Western Conference teams this week for the 56th annual NHL All-Star Game on Sunday, Jan. 27 in Atlanta.
Fans can always find fault with a few of the 42 players selected or, in some cases, not selected.
This year, for instance, Calgary Flames left-winger Kristian Huselius is posting career numbers, but he isn’t on the all-star team. Columbus Blue Jackets netminder Pascal Leclaire leads the league in shutouts and ranks in the top 5 in goals-against average and save percentage, but he’ll be watching the big game from home.
In your opinion, has the NHL and its fans selected the best players for the NHL’s frozen showcase? Any glaring omissions? If so, what player(s) should be a part of the league’s all-star game? (If you need a hand, check out our all-star snubs).
