Going' down the highway, doing 160 klicks!

German engineering, my a**!

Pffft, 160 klicks? You need to be in Montana. You could double that speed and not even get in trouble (assuming, of course, that Montana is still a speed limitless zone).

Why, one almost has a 'Vette'd interest in moving there. :D

Ian Fleming, of James Bond fame, once said of Volvos, that they "never ran very well", but they "always ran". That was many years ago now. Ian Fleming died in 1964.

Probably died of an apoplectic rage trying to start a problematic Volvo.

He was right, basically. They always run (but not fancily) and, unlike Fleming, they never die.

Part of the charm of the Brick is, the designers had to work really, really hard to make anything look quite like that. The car is actually very similar in design to the old Rover TC2000, but whereas the Rover was an elegant affair (we have had two, and loved them both), the Volvo looks, well, brickish.

Fortunately, I am quite fond of bricks.
