That actually depends on the individual cultures. Some west coast tribes buried their dead in trees overhanging the ocean. No idea where they put the headstones.
And some prairie tribes sent their elders for a walk in the snow during winter . See ya , wouldn’t want to be ya .

Taking a permanent nap in a snowbank was voluntary and also extends to Europeans who did the same.

These days we pack them up and lock them up in soul crushing palliative facilities.

Well, we won't likely be getting that election until next year. The NDP won't give us a non-confidence vote for the absolute stupidest reason. They're broke. Seriously, federal NDP coffers have less money than the average 65 yr old retiree has in his/her account. Less than $300,000. And they still owe $2 million on the $20 million loan they took out to campaign during the 2021 election.

So the Jagoff can crow all he wants about ripping up the S&C agreement but he's still gonna prop Groper up because the NDP can't afford another election campaign at this time.
Jagoff's constituency office is located in South Burnaby. Despite claiming it's open for 14 hrs a week, the doors are locked and the lights are off during those "open" hours and nobody answers the phone or returns voicemails. The recording doesn't even say it's Singh's office.

Doesn't bode well for a party that wants to run the country.

Thames Valley school board officials took first-class train travel for $38K retreat
Author of the article:Heather Rivers
Published Sep 28, 2024 • Last updated 20 hours ago • 2 minute read

The majority of the Thames Valley District school board administrators who attended a $38,000 retreat at the Toronto Blue Jays stadium hotel took first-class train travel to get there and back.

The August retreat, which was uncovered by The Free Press and helped spark a provincial audit of the cash-strapped school board, drew widespread outrage from unions, parents and taxpayers. The board’s top official, education director Mark Fisher, is now on a paid leave of absence.

Trustee Beth Mai, who chairs the school board, made public the full cost of the retreat, $38,444.92. It broke down as follows:

Travel: $5,468.09
Accommodations: $19,778.02
Meeting rooms and meals: $13,198.81
Mai confirms that surprisingly the large travel bill was largely due to business class Via train travel. Via officials say “business” class is their equivalent to first class.

Round-trip business class tickets between Toronto and London range from $200 to $420, Via staff say.

While Via describes economy as the “most affordable way” to travel, business class is described as a way “to treat yourself.” On its website, Via says: “We’ll make sure your experience is worth the upgrade with business lounge access, wider seats, full meals and more, so you can either relax or work a bit.”

Learning details of the first-class travel was “disappointing,” said Mary Henry of CUPE Local 4222, which represents 1,600 Thames Valley employees including secretaries, educational assistants and early childhood educators.

“There is no need for them to sit in first class,” Henry said.

The school board hasn’t named the 17 board administrators who joined Fisher on the three-day retreat. Mai declined to specify how many of those travelled first class on the train, saying: “I would safely say most did.”

The senior executives stayed at the Marriot City Centre Hotel, formerly the SkyDome Hotel, where many rooms overlook the Blue Jays’ playing field. The Jays were playing on all three days, from Aug. 19-21. Rooms range from $374 to $1,199 per night, hotel staff say.

The retreat took place while Thames Valley, Ontario’s fourth-largest school board, is juggling a $7.6-million deficit that’s already been slashed from $18 million thanks to cuts to jobs, school supplies and funding for kids’ field trips.

Education Minister Jill Dunlop this month announced she’s conducting a management audit of the school board’s executive members’ compensation and their administration of the board.

And if the Forum removed the capitalization of WE, here it is again.

WE really need to get rid of this guy. I am of course referring to MVP of strike three in the ethics batter box, none other than Justin Trudeau. But hey, he's real sorry, because, "He (sniff) should have recused himself. And what of his number two man, ahem, er, person?

No, not Chystia Freeland, she doesn't actually do anything except cut bad deals with washed up reality show clowns plagued by mental health issues. Oh, and take hard questions the Prime Minister is incapable of answering without having panic attack. So, she serves a purpose.

But I speak of Bill Morneau, the finance minister, in terms of importance. The finance minister is far more important in the scheme of things, than the deputy prime minister. Something else the finance must have an understanding of is "finances and accounting," after all he does draft the country's federal budget covering everything from healthcare to infrastructure to pandemic spending. So, my opinion, the two most important people in a sitting government are the leader and his finance minister. Those two guys call the shots. Now, with Justin it is pretty clear that he is the spoiled rich kid who didn't have to abide by the rules, so I get the psyche of entitlement. But Bill Morneau runs the country's finances and if you believe him when he says he didn't notice $41,000.00 in travel expenses, you are either obtuse or you just don't give a flying banana loaf about your country anymore. Funny how he suddenly remembered to pay it on the day of his testimony?

The Prime Minister and his finance minister knew exactly what they were doing. They won't admit it, because to do so is to pull back the red curtain and expose the contempt they have for the people of Canada. Your political preferences shouldn't play into this, whether you think the Liberals are golden gods should be irrelevant because there is something much larger at play. The future of Canadian politics and the culture of corruption we are seeing with this government will set a standard for future governments left or right. They will know that voters of this country no longer hold elected officials accountable for their actions. This WE scandal is a bigger deal than Ad scam, because it runs directly into the office of the prime minister, touching him, his mother, his brother. This may end up being the straw that broke the camels back.

I hope so.
Poillievre is Canadian maga we do not want insane far right here destroying our nation. I stand with Trudeau!🇨🇦

What do you know of Retired_Can_Soldier, other than the fact that he as anti-Trudeau?

Who is the "kind" that "we" don't want? Veterans? Retired soldiers? Or anybody who does not support Trudeau?
Good question. Who is “We” above?

😆 😆 Oh wait, you were serious? Let me laugh even harder. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

And here comes Trudeau's social media influencers to desperately engage in that now age-old Liberal campaign tradition, fear mongering. Sorry sport, but that's a bullshit commie scum tactic.

Whines about MAGA shit in Canada, immediately engages in American-style attack-the-other-guy politics. Tell us oh fake Elder one, tell us what great accomplishments of Socks "Blackface" McGroper has you so fucking jazzed about him. Give us three good reasons to vote for Trudeau that have nothing to do with your hilarious opinion of Poilievre?

Oh I know, he appointed Canada's first female AND first First Nations Minister of Justice. How wonderfully diverse. Oh wait, but he also fired her over a difference of morals. She had some, he doesn't.
I know. Free drugs to addicts. Nothing says "compassion" like feeding people's addiction. But then again, if yer gonna force the taxpayers to fund those free drugs, they should get some for free too, right?
Okay I got one. He praises nazis and supports islamo-nazis. Yeah, now there's some good ol' fashioned values. Now THAT's the kind of thang a good ol' far-right winger can 'preciate. All right, I convinced myself, he's got my vote.

This is what we have come to. You're this, or you're that.
While we tear each other to pieces, politicians salivate and gather power.
