On 09/29/91 Brian Mulroney (the character that struck the first blow against Canadian sovereignty with NAFTA) said this below in front of an audience of about 7,000 people in Frost Amphitheater at Stanford University, Palo Alto, California. Throughout the years, the amphitheater has been the host to many events including a prominent speech by Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev in 1992. This 09/29/91 Stanford News Release is titled Mulroney on Canadian, U.S. roles in new world order

"We favor re-thinking the limits of national sovereignty in a world where problems respect no borders," Mulroney, wearing an academic robe, said before about 7,000 people in Frost Amphitheater.

"The burden of building a new world order is too great to be borne by any one country, even a country as powerful and principled as the United States of America; it's a burden that must be shared by all industrialized nations, and I tell you today, Canada will fulfill every single one of its obligations."
At the G20 meetings in Toronto in 2010 talking about their agenda Stephen Harper said "It's a Loss of National Sovereignty" meaning Canadian sovereignty. See it on this video.

YouTube - Stephen Harper: HEY CANADA "Its a Loss of Sovereignty"

Harper is working for and in the interest of the United States government. Harper has already committed treason by signing a secretive deal with the US on Feb. 4, 2011 to remove Canada's sovereignty, with a minority government and without the approval of the Canadian public or parliament.

If you think for one moment that the Canadian public won't see this as treasonous when they realize it and see Stephen Harper as a traitor then you are mistaken. The traitor Harper has to go.

This is a very important vote if you like being a Canadian. We need every Canadian, especially young Canadians to choose and vote on May 2nd for the MP that has the best chance of beating out the Conservative MP in your riding.

And what would that be?

Now then, you are the second idiot to bring this up...........

They are talking about economic sovereignty, which is somewhat compromised by free trade deals and economic trading blocks.....as well as the establishment of trade tribunals.

Listen again.....they are NOT talking about political sovereignty..........and because the nation retains political sovereignty, it can withdraw from trade deals at anytime they no longer find them beneficial.

Got that???

I swear, there must be a Moron Convention on-line with a direct link to this place.....where are all the lefty newbies coming from??????

Trade agreements, pacts and treaties can all be dumped if and when they no longer serve. The only issue is if somebody intends to do something about it. I doubt the Americans would invade if we withdrew from the FTA.

Well cause I like Canada with a border between us and the US. You just need to follow the pattern to see where this is leading. I don't want Canadians to be saddled with US debt. I don't want US forces in Canada. I don't want to join their gun toting society. I suggest any Canadian that doesn't mind the idea of a union with the US, similar to the EU to just move south. On Feb. 10th the Globe and Mail ran this article by Ignatieff titled "Don’t deal away our sovereignty".

Do you understand how profoundly stupid you sound at this very moment?

Place your hand up to your ear. Now give your head a shake.

Hear anything? The ocean maybe?

Oh I see, so this is the wacko one world government Austro-Libertarian forum. For some reason or other the title of the forum made me think that it was a Canadian forum. See you bozos.

Personally I am an economic nationalist who believes our resources should benefit Canadians
first in the world. In June the WTO deal that took ten years to reach will collapse and fall by the
wayside, there is hope for a plan B but hell they can't find enough compromise to sign anything.
With that in mind this is a good time to scrap the trade deals with the third world that are a bad
thing for the industrialized world. We need our jobs back and corporations can be legislated to
do something about that. We are about to see the New World Order itself collapse as countries
set out to save themselves in the new race to the bottom of economic life.
New World Order was the dream of theocrats and industrialist that is failing on every front in the
last 18 months. As Canadians we must ensure the future for our coming generations and that
does not mean we can't trade it just means we use our resources a leverage for our own benefit.
Calling people traitors is another matter, I don't see anything that would lead me to believe he is a
traitor, he does favour the international economic model but that is different from treason.
We must get control of our own country and ensure our government is the one making the rules
and not the corporations, in that view I believe Harper has to go, as I said I don't think we want this
little small minded control freak running the country with a majority. For all his sins and faults I
would not agree that he is a traitor though.

We have had a common boarder for years in some strange ways, there is still a line
that defines Canada and the United States though. I also do not agree with allowing
American Soldiers or Police to operate withing the boarders of our country. I can see
fire departments doing so as they are on the boarder and boarder towns have to be
good neighbours, law enforcement and military are an entirely different matter
Even so these are still two separate countries.

Okay, if you want to be taken seriously, try to get your facts right. NAFTA came after the first FTA, which was only the US and Canada. So NAFTA would, by your definition, be the second blow, not the first.

Last I heard, the DEA had offices in Vancouver and Toronto. What are they doing here?

Same reason we have FBI agents in Toronto, RCMP officers in California, Canadian Soldiers at Fort Benning, nd American Soldiers in Resolute.

Their doing their job.

Yeah that's right TenPenny. It seems you and damngrumpy are the only sensible regulars posting here.
