War force boost in Afghanistan

The Sherwood Foresters are to go to Afghanistan
TONY Blair is to send hundreds more troops to Afghanistan to crush a Taliban spring offensive.
The Sherwood Foresters have been put on notice to head to Helmand province in April.
The Prime Minister has been persuaded to increase Britain’s presence from two to three battalions.
Taliban commanders plan to unleash an uprising to try to drive Our Boys out of Afghanistan.
Military top brass have put the Sherwood Foresters on alert to help stamp out the Taliban.
But Defence Secretary Des Browne refused to confirm the move yesterday when asked by the Tories in the Commons.
Instead, Mr Browne replied: “As far as our force levels are concerned, we continue to keep them under review.”
The MoD is furious details have been made public before family members knew.
Lawless Helmand province has been described as the world’s most dangerous region.
The movement coincides with a massive switch in British troops.
Royal Marine commandos are heading home.
They will be replaced by the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards and the Royal Anglian Regiment.
