Just as all countries and regions have their own tourist attractions or landmarks, Seoul, the capital of Korea where the upcoming G20 summit meeting is slated to be held in November, has Namsan park as its landmark.
Namsan(103㎡), which stands right at the center of Seoul with an altitude of 262m, is designated as a public park and is serving as a rest area for citizens.
Despite being located at the heart of a metropolitan area, Namsan is densely packed with various types of trees such as pine trees. You can also see various wildlife as well, including pheasants, wild birds, squirrels and wild flowers. Particularly, in November when the G20 summit is scheduled, colorful maples of Namsan will peak and you will be able to enjoy their beautiful scenery, which is reminiscent of a watercolor painting.
The "N Seoul Tower" on top of Namsan has an observatory where you can enjoy the scenery up to 60km away from the tower. The night view is especially fantastic.
Beacon lighting ceremony and traditional martial arts demonstration take place at the beacon and the Palgakjung, and you can also relieve your stress by breathing in fresh mountain air as you walk down the Namsan trail(3km).
On your way down, you can also drop by the National Theater, where various plays, dances, and traditioanl music performances await you.
Visit Seoul and enjoy the beautiful scenery and traditional culture of Korea.
