Our lot backs onto a wooded park area so we see all kinds of animals passing through like
deer and raccoons.........we saw a cougar about two years ago. The deer and raccoons are
a bit of a mixed blessing in that we have to surround every garden or flower bed with deer
fencing to keep them from eating everything. There are several books listing plants that deer don't eat
but most of the deer haven't read the books
My brother does the same. He has a rather large back yard in Hammond Bay and all his pyramid cedars are eaten as high up as a deer can reach even though he has them closed in with wire. Every once in awhile when we come home at night there are some deer running around the complex we live in. Not too many though. Probably because the place is fenced. Our lot backs onto a wooded park area so we see all kinds of animals passing through like
