A hundred years ago...no tax..
What did we have?
No social insurance.
No health care for all people [bad for the poor]
Crazy locomotive monopolies [Billionaires...imagine billionaires of 1900s LOL]
Uneducated population..
Average life span so much lower
Working conditions horrible.
Little regulations

yeah..
and government got their money from tariffs and little stuffs..
But I agree,
tax..do..hurt..
but it hurts more for the poor...not to have tax.
