I'd say that Kerry is gonna win by 8 points popular vote.
Since the US uses the Electroial College system, the surprize states will be OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, IOWA, FLORIDA, NEW MEXICO but a change in any state could swing as few as 4 and as many as 25 votes, The electors are the wild card, they could swing the vote if any of them waffle!

There are so many people signing up to vote that they can't all wanna be baptized. I'd say a majority are anti-war.

When Pat Robertson screamed at Bush the other day ..... that would tell you that even he knows Bush has lost. In religious circles, this attack by Robertson is quite astounding.

Pat Bucanan is talking about coming back to the Republican party which would mean "after" Bush there is gonna be great debate within the party. They are all scambling to get a seat at the roast.
when the preachers wont vote for ya, you is in deep trouble!
When CBS and the NYT are found to have had the information concerning the missing explosives in Iraq for several months and only released the information in the media just now, explains that the press knows full well Bush has lost.
NO, when the news media sits on a story, it could backfire. The general population is mistrustful of mass media and accuse it of being "Liberal", so a Pro-Kerry stance could hurt at the last minute since not all voters go to the polls! Don't galvanze anyone with a story on election eve or it looks like dirty politics.
When Kerry wins, all Americans will feel cleansed of the atr
ocities committed in their name at Abu Ghraib. But that is all. Nothing will change. Kerry will have a mandate to "fix" Iraq and use whatever it takes to "solve" it.
He must use it carefully, remember what happened in CA (California).
I don't think there will be a draft.
A 3rd rail issue!
Right after the election the US is gonna agree to a Mullah taking power in Iraq.
A Mullah would be a popular as the Colonel as a Chicken Farm, Religious types would not be the answer, Kerry would be recalled as quick as the Flu Vaccine and a Mad Cow in the Customs' express line!

Then, they will begin calling the insurgency by the name of "civil war". Then, the Kurds up in the north will "invite" the Americans into their areas in order to protect them from the Shite majority of the south.
The largest airfields are in Northern Iraq and the largest "producing" oil wells are there too. The U.S. will settle for that. Turkey is not gonna like it, and that is why the U.S. is pushing for Turkey to join the European Union. In doing so, Turkey will no longer have an independent foreign policy, and thus not complain so loudly.

Turkey might want those oilfields and the kurds too sonce it would give them a claim to area they have had since Ottoman Empire Days!
Financially .... the worst is yet to come for the U.S. system. Kerry will find the bank empty. When one considers that America has borrowed 450 billion in the past year and still the economy is cooling, what is left for Kerry to do? Bush and the Elite have taken what money they could now, while the goin' was good. It is just as though it was planned. Where, just before the collapse, the rich have been given the tax breaks so that they can secure their dynasties now. The rich are moving their money to off shore to China and India.

After the elections, the three major airlines are going to declare bankruptcy. Their employee pension plans have been guranteed by the U.S. government .... another hit to the financial system of 200 billion or more.

Interest rates are going to rise quickly because the U.S. is borrowing the money to finance the war. Just like Ronnie Ray-Gun did when he borrowed to finance the wars in Central America. I remember 22% interest rates.
Why would anyone want to be the head of the Financial Titanic? Kerry would ensure that the Demos couldn't get relected to dogcatcher if that happens, just look at Herbert Hoover (1928 to 1932) who was a Republican, I say, this looks like a rep plot to sink the demos for years to come?
I remember the 60's and early 70's when the "disgruntled" marched and spoke truth to power. The government was running scared. They started a war on drugs and then started to take our rights away and in Canada they even found the RCMP reading our mail.Today; the biggest threat to government is the Internet. In the 60's average people who resented power felt they were alone and thought themselves too radical. But, the Internet shows us all that we are not alone and represent 60% of the population.

Yep, Kerry will win ..... he'll promise change .... but only in the fifth year of a four year Presidency.
Kind of depressing, eh?
