It has nothing to do with the Ukraine, but it has to do with the Ukraine. A while earlier I ended a post by saying I had to go plug in the electric giraffe because I'd written a whole post about the Ukraine that had nothing to do with the Ukraine.
Given the interconnectedness of world affairs, that sort of thing is unavoidable unless you are talking about a major power.
