Blair is fast becoming a lame duck leader like Bush eh Henry ?

Interesting days ahead, mom - Tony Blair invested a lot of his own reputation to get his 90-day bill passed, going so far as to overall his own advisors. His authority within the Labour Party has certainly taken a hammering; he won't walk away, and I suspect he'll be around for a while yet, but people must be asking how long he can hang around for, now. With Brown waiting in the wings, Labour MPs won't be too concerned about the effect of Blair's slide on the next election, but might want the new man ensconced ahead of schedule, just to be on the safe side.

Bush, on the other hand, being the puppet that he is, never had any authority to lose in the first place.

I wouldn't say Blair or Bush are lame duck. They were recently re-elected.

In actual fact, the pro-war (Bush, Blair, Howard in Australia etc etc) leaders are a lot sager than the anti-war leaders (Schroeder has gone and replaced by Atlanticist Merkel, and the biggest lame duck of them all, Chirac, will be gone in 2007).
