Tsunami warning after magnitude 8.2 earthquake hits off coast of Alaska

A huge earthquake has struck off the coast of Alaska, shaking buildings hundreds of miles away.

People reported feeling the earthquake, which was a magnitude 8.1, last for well over a minute as far away as Anchorage.

A tsunami alert has been issued following the quake 170 miles away from Kodiak with people saying that they had been alerted to the danger by text messages.
