Trooping the Colour took place today on Horse Guards' Parade in central London to mark the King's official birthday as the King and Queen and hundreds of others watched on.

It's only the second time it's been held on the second Saturday in June for 260 years.

The Royal Family stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and thousands watched along The Mall as the RAF conducted a flypast for the King's official birthday.

His actual birthday is 14th November.

This is a better video than the first one I posted.

A sweltering summer's day in the magnificent surroundings of Horse Guards' Parade in central London saw the Trooping of the Colour for King Charles III's official birthday as hundreds of spectators looked on.

This year it was Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards who trooped their colour. This year marks 375 years since the Coldstream Guards were formed by Oliver Cromwell - ironically, he was the leader of the victorious Parliamentarians against the Royalists during the English Civil War.

More than 1300 British soldiers took part in the annual event.
