Transportation in Ontario

Can anyone tell me about the subway and train systems in Ontario more specifically in Oakville. I'm going to Toronto at the end of this month and staying in Oakville, but I have no clue how to get to Toronto from Oakville besides Walking, Bus or Taxi. I won't take buses or taxi's unless I really have to.

Do they have trains or subways that leave Oakville and go to Toronto?

I'm completely clueless, hell i've never even seen a subway in my life >_<

From Oakville, GO transit ( a commuter train ) might be your best bet. There are trains regularly going to & from Toronto city core. Check out www.gotransit.ca for schedules & info.

I'd probably kill over and die if I had to walk to Toronto from Oakville.
