Well....

I'll put it this way. I could be described as a slightly right of centre liberalist, BUT at least before Tony Blair came into power I knew who was left and who was right.

I prefured the tories to be right and the labour party to be traditionally left. I didnt want all my policical choices to be right, centre right oh and right.

see what I'm saying?

Nope, I have no problem with Tony being the US lapdog that he is, because for over 30 years that's wht British PM's have been, it's in the job description.

But I just want my Labour party back, I dont want new labour and I certainly dont want a Tory party who's "going green" in power. That's my penneth worth anyway.

I don't believe he had any choice.

The man certainly isn't an idiot, he is a QC and a hell of a Lawyer actually. The man has more brains in his fingertip than most PM's and President's in the world today.

But as I say, I do not believe a man who's father was a Tory MP, and who shows the same political views as his father should ever have been a Labour leader, Keir Hardie would turn in his grave.

Tony Blair advocated invading Iraq and deposing of Saddam Hussein 2 years before Bush was President.

Yeah, I like Tony, he's a patriot.

Yeah, I like Tony, he's a patriot.

Although I think this was a vauge suggestion. I also believe this isn't really a fair statement as most observers will note the connection between George Bush snr.'s "unfinished" was with Saddam and the current war.

I would suggest it's more about payback than it is bout terrorism for Bush jnr. When you consider the restrictions Clinton had on Iraq, it would seem unlikely that such a suggestion by Blair was anything more than conjecture.

As for Tony being a patriot, well, it's similar to all these posters joining the "we love George Galloway" club. Maybe he is, but this is not WHAT he is mainly about. And while the outside world my remember him for this, what he will be remembered for in the UK would be of turning a centre Left party into that of a centre right one.

Hopefully it will all end when he's gone.
