Baghdad -- Tens of thousands of Shiites marched from Kufa to Najaf yesterday, demanding that U.S. forces leave their country on the fourth anniversary of the fall of Baghdad. Streets in the capital were silent and empty under a hastily imposed 24-hour driving ban.

Demonstrators ripped apart U.S. flags and tromped across a Stars and Stripes rug flung on the road between the two holy cities for the march, ordered up by radical Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr as a show of strength not only to Washington but to Iraq's establishment Shia ayatollahs as well.

No improvement, no support from anyone except the kurds, still those who support this war won't see anything.

Seems to be the message is clear enough! But you can be sure the US will not listen or if they do I will literally fall off my chair.

Will be interesting to hear the excuses they use for not leaving Iraq.
