Thor's Pray Take a Look a very cool pray

Now to ask for support or Aid from Thor, who is the god of Thunder (weather) and of war, all you have to do which is a good pray if you have to go into battle as an Asatru warrior, and one I like to repeat alot is very good. Here it is;

To ask for aid from Thor:

Hail Thor-show thy might,
Let thunder roar and lightning strike!
Hurl thy hammer into the fray,
And let thine enemies know fear this day!

It's suppose to build up strength and get rid of fear and allow you to prepare for battle. So if you are in combat you have a force behind you that will help you fight.

It also gives a Viking or Asatru warrior courgage because if you do die in combat after this prayer, you get to go to Valhalla. It is something that a Asatru warrior strongly believes in.

And I was just doing research on my religion and supposedly, 13% of people from my religion are in their own nation's armed forces. Which is a good sign for my religion. Because we are mostly a warrior religion.

Oh yes. It's not a bad religion. Alot of fun too. However, don't tell the fanatical Christians, they tried to wipe it out a few centuries ago but failed miserably.

So much like Christians to call other people "so called" people and to call a different religion "shit". Very polite and respectful, indeed. And as for christian methods of conversion - anyone of you christians remembers the inquisition and the crusades? destroying other peoples' national heritage?
This just makes my blood boil....

He's no more confused than you are. When you truly understand why you don't believe in Thor and Valhalla, you might also come to understand why atheists have no belief in any other versions of the same ideas.

Gonna have to explain it to me too; doesn't make any sense so far. Nobody I think is cool these days is embracing Christianity, they're going the other way, into skepticism, humanism, and rationality. Including, I'm pleased to report, my own children.

What I mean, is that so often on the intarweb I come across these people blatantly, and poorly, attacking Xianity. Its as if is just the new and cool thing to do. Like making fun of peoples' religion is okay because finally there's enough a-holes out there doing it.

Honesly, I don't know what to think about posts like:

Xianity sucks because its boring? WTF? I've got news for you, there's enough blood and gore in the history of Xianity for it to be interesting enough for anyone, if that's how you decide on a religion.

I'm all for bringing down religion, but lets do it in a way that is respectful. Crush them with rationality, not catchphrases and fart jokes. Be the bigger person. Show how you don't need to live in the shadow, and fear, of religion to be a good person. Convince others that leaving religion and faith out of government is the way to go by showing them what happens when religion and government intermix. Not by ridiculing them for talking to themselves.

It just makes the rest of us look bad.
