Thomas Tuchel has agreed to become the new England manager.

The 51-year-old German has previously managed Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and London club Chelsea - with whom he won the Champions League - and Sky News understands Tuchel has already signed the contract and that the English FA will formerly announce his appointment at a press conference at Wembley tomorrow afternoon.

Tuchel takes over from Gareth Southgate, who took England to two consecutive European Championships Finals, which England lost to Italy and Spain respectively.

Anglophile German who won Champions League in his debut season as Chelsea manager takes on England job

Tuchel has previously admitted his love for English culture and English football and now he is to be paid £5 million a year to be the new England boss.

England are paying him the richest salary in world football to deliver them their first trophy since 1966, and Tuchel has a proven track record, winning a major trophy at every club he has managed.
