Jesus sinned when his disciples insisted on him to pray God to give them a table spread with food coming from heaven
In fact he told them:
Which commandment was broken?
With-holding food is a sin, you can't have it both ways.

Jas.2:16
And one of you say unto them,
Depart in peace,
be ye warmed and filled;
notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body;
what doth it profit?
Jas.2:17
Even so faith,
if it hath not works,
is dead,
being alone.

Jesus and the table spread with food

Once the disciples of Jesus requested of him a strange request: Can your Lord bring down onto us out of heaven a table spread with food?
This was a strang request ... why do they request such a thing? He said to them: "Fear of God concerning such a request!"
They said: "We want to eat of it, then our hearts be assured, and know for cetain that you have told us the truth, and we shall be witnesses of it."

This was indeed a strange request: the food out of heaven?
... the gaseous heaven: this is the habitation of genies .. the food is gaseous for genies ..
... the ethereal heavens: this is Paradise which is ethereal and its food is only ethereal for the spirits
... the material heavens: the planets?

Anyhow, God is Most Able to give them what they requested. But why is all that? Their belief was not sure belief, and they were not yet certain?

Jesus knew all that; but anyhow, under their pressure, he raised up his hands and prayed God: God, our Lord, bring down out of heaven a table spread with food: let be a festival (or a day of celebrity) for the first and last among us, and it be a miracle of You, and give it us as a provision from You.

Now, usually the prayer of the apostles is answered; so God said to them: I shall bring it down on you, but whoso among disbelieve afterwards, then I shall punish him with punishment that I punish none in the creation like to it.

So the disciples on hearing this were afraid, and said: A food table with such punishment we don't want such a thing. And the table was not brought down.

The implication: Was Jesus right in his prayer to such a thing on the insisting of his disciples? Was it correct or wrong; and he should have refused their request and said to them: Anyone of you who want to believe, let him believe; and any of you want to disbelieve let him choose whatever he likes; and I don't pay attention to your ignorant request; because you don't understand what you are saying!?

====================================================
This is in the Quran 5:112-115

The expalantion:
(And when the Apostles said: "Jesus, son of Mary, is your Lord Ableto send down onto us a table [with food] out of heaven?" [Jesus] said:"ward off [the punishment of] God [concerning your demand of miracles], ifyou [truly] are believers [in God's might and in my prophethood."

[The Apostles] said: "We desire to eat of it, and our hearts mayhave confidence [about God's might and ability] and to know [for certain] thatyou [Jesus] told us the truth [concerning your prophethood], and that we maygive witness as to it [for those who will come after us.]"

Jesus, son of Mary, said: "God, our Lord, send down upon us a tablewith food out of heaven, that shall be for us a festival, the first and last ofus, and a sign from Thee, and provide for us; for Thou are the Best ofproviders."

God said: "I Am going to send it down on you, but [on conditionthat] whoso of you will disbelieve after [sending it down], I will punish himmore severely than ever I may punish anyone else in the worlds.")

Of course Jesus did not break the commandments of God, neither did Abraham nor Mohammed; but all these did some acts which were wrong to some extent or another. To which God said to them: You should not have done this.

This is to demonstrate that they are men and sons of man: pious, righteous; but not infallible.

(God pardon you [Mohammed!] Why did you give them [: those hypocrites] leave, till it was clear to you which [of them] spoke the truth, and you would know the liars [among them]?)

The above is the interpretation of the aya 9: 43

First off the Bible would not allow a person who is not a believer already to be called an Apostle and when a person is sent by God signs come with that same person as a sign that God is with them, nothing is left in doubt, without the asking.

Anyway, what would the punishment have been? It still sounds 'odd', show me proof that I can believe (rather than 'remain in unbelief'), but only if my (already coming) punishment as a non-believer is not increased.

"so God said to them", ...... In what form was that, a voice 'out of the blue' that all there heard together or a 'voice' that was heard only by direction?

Compare your version to the NT and the sheet that came down (in a vision) to Peter saying that all sorts of previously unclean to eat food was now clean. If those instructions are 'ignored' can God pile on the punishment'?

How would this verse be 'treated' by Muslims (Gentiles by the NT standard). I'm pretty sure Jews reject the 'new list' just because it was Jesus who showed it.

Ac.10:11
And saw heaven opened,
and a certain vessel descending unto him,
as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners,
and let down to the earth:
Ac.10:12
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth,
and wild beasts,
and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
Ac.10:13
And there came a voice to him,
Rise,
Peter;
kill,
and eat.
Ac.10:14
But Peter said,
Not so,
Lord;
for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Ac.10:15
And the voice spake unto him again the second time,
What God hath cleansed,
that call not thou common.

Ac.10:16
This was done thrice:
and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

The expalantion:
(And when the Apostles said: "Jesus, son of Mary, ..........
Is Jesus's Mom considered to be a daughter of Aaron? That would make Jesus equal to the same station John the Baptist held, High Priest, correct?

The Bible never claims anybody but Jesus as being 'without blemish'. Moses messed up with the water and the rock thing. The Apostles were given the 'thorn in the side' to keep the humble about being 'close to God' because they were like Jesus before the cross rather than being like Him (glorified immortal body) after resurrection from the grave and glorification by God (drink of living water)

This is to demonstrate that they are men and sons of man: pious, righteous; but not infallible.
Like Moses? That theory would have all three Holy Books as being worthless, would the verse below result in an accurate 'quote' or not when they were writing the Gospels?

Joh.14:26
But the Comforter,
which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.

Joh.16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth;
It is expedient for you that I go away:
for if I go not away,
the Comforter will not come unto you;
but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

I love Jesus very much (as do I love Moses and Mohammed), but my love of God is greater. This is Allahu akbar: it means God is Greater than (everyone else).

Do you think that I say words that please Jesus, or your words please him: when I say: Glorify God more than anyone else: be it Jesus or Mohammed or anyone else?

I still want to cover the 7 letters at some point, Only Jesus had the authority from God to expand on who 'His people' included, that is not elevating Him to an equal status with God.

1Co.15:28
And when all things shall be subdued unto him,
then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him,
that God may be all in all.

First off the Bible would not allow a person who is not a believer already to be called an Apostle and when a person is sent by God signs come with that same person as a sign that God is with them, nothing is left in doubt, without the asking.

The word in the Quran (for this reason the Quran Arabic text should be preserved and menioned together with its English meaning); the Arabic word in the aya is الْحَوَارِيُّونَ which means the "disciples" not the "apostles" but was translated here as the apostles because these disciples later on became the apostles to Jerusalem and other places.

Anyway, what would the punishment have been? It still sounds 'odd', show me proof that I can believe (rather than 'remain in unbelief'), but only if my (already coming) punishment as a non-believer is not increased.

When people demand a miracle and it is done for them and they see it with their eyes, then if they disbelieve they will be punished; not like those who did not see such a miracle.

Is Jesus's Mom considered to be a daughter of Aaron? That would make Jesus equal to the same station John the Baptist held, High Priest, correct?

The lineage is not everything: e.g. Mohammed's uncle (the brother of his father) was called by God Aba Lahab which implies He will punish him in the flaming Fire. Abraham's father was an idolater and disbeliever, who lost and Abraham cannot save him. The grandson of Noah Canaan disobeyed and did not embark on the ark with Noah, so he was drowned and Noah could not save him.

Mary was the son of Imran the custodian of the house of God at Jerusalem, then he died and Zacharia who is the husband of the sister of Imran's wife; I think Imran and Zacharia were relatives. John and Jesus were cousins: Mary's mother and John's mother were sisters.

The custom of the Arab (and Abraham was from Iraq) is they hold the sister as their honor, and they boast with the honor of their sisters; so Mary was the sister of Aaron in this respect: in honor and chastity: she was the parable and example for chastity and honor; therefore God chose her to bear Jesus as her son. No doubt about her and about her chastity and honor.
The custom of the Arab: when they are in some important circumstances is they say: I am the brother of Mary, I am the brother of Alia ...etc. So Mary was called the sister of Aaron in this respect not in the lineage: because Aaron (Moses brother) was the example of piety and righteousness.

For John Baptist I think he was not in the same rank of Jesus, although he was also a prophet.
But Jesus, Moses, Noah, Abraham, Mohammed (and I think Elia or Elijah and the Mahdi) are the apostles with firm will and determination and of high rank.

Joh.14:26
But the Comforter,

This is the Mahdi, who is tasked by Jesus: Jesus tell him: You are the Mahdi; carry out your duty; this is according to God's command, not of Jesus own accord.

Okay.

When people demand a miracle and it is done for them and they see it with their eyes, then if they disbelieve they will be punished; not like those who did not see such a miracle.
That would be like a person asking for proof in a certain way and then 'assume' they could remain a non-believer anyway. That doesn't make sense. Thomas doubted and he demanded proof, a specific 'event' was demanded and it was given, That ended any 'doubt' for Thomas as there was no 'threat of punishment'. Today much is said about what grace will and will nor cover as far as sin is concerned, even grave can be 'voided' under certain circumstances.

God said as revelation to Jesus, and Jesus told them: God said so and so.
Okay, that doesn't change with the return, events after that time are still God's will being done by Christ.

The lineage is not everything: e.g. Mohammed's uncle (the brother of his father) was called by God Aba Lahab which implies He will punish him in the flaming Fire. From what, death or sin? Does death cover all sins?

Mary was the son of Imran the custodian of the house of God at Jerusalem, then he died and Zacharia who is the husband of the sister of Imran's wife; I think Imran and Zacharia were relatives. John and Jesus were cousins: Mary's mother and John's mother were sisters.
If John's parents were very old then Mary (and Joseph) would also have been well on in years before Jesus was born, an older couple rather than a young couple (bride especially).

Does that support His role as High Priest, rather than heir to David's throne?

For John Baptist I think he was not in the same rank of Jesus, although he was also a prophet.

Still part of God's method of bringing salvation to mankind, a series of events that follow a specified order and timeline.

Joh.7:39
(But this spake he of the Spirit,
which they that believe on him should receive:
for the Holy Ghost was not yet given;
because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Joh.20:22
And when he had said this,
he breathed on them,
and saith unto them,
Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Miracles of the prophets

When the apostle comes to people, he starts to admonish them, advise them to believe in God alone and abandon their idols and their patrons, other than God alone as the exclusive Patron. Then whosoever God wants to guide, will be guided rightly, while those whom God is not pleased with (wrong-doers), will not receive neither will they accept the guidance.

Then some people will demand of that apostle to show them some miracle : an extraordinary work that cannot be done except by God to prove to them that God confirms the truthfulness of the apostle.

When one sees the truth, what is his need for any miracle? But in case he doubts, then the miracle will make him certain (this is supposed to be the result: that man should believe when he sees the miracle.)

If two men: one sees the miracle and does not believe even then, while the other man has not seen the miracle and eventhen he does not believe; whom is blamed more? The one that sees the miracle and does not believe is more worthy of the blame and more worthy of the punishment; because of his extreme stubbornness.
Miracles of the Prophets

==============================================

From what, death or sin? Does death cover all sins?

God saves the believers

People will be saved in many ways (when they exclusively devote themselves to God alone, and follow their apostle):

1- They will be saved from the punishment of the disgrace (in the life of the world); because God will afflict the disbelievers with the disgrace punishment in the life of the World : like
- the attack of their enemy (like the Israelite in the past by the hand of Nabuchodonosor, then by Titus ...etc; and like Iraq by the hand of the Zionist Americans)
- the earthquake like that of Lot's people, Shuaib's people, Thamood tribe ...etc.
- the hurricanes (like that of Aad tribe: Hood's people)
- the flood like that of Noah's people, and like the drowning of Pharaoh and his host.

2- They will be saved form the punishment in the afterlife following their death: like Noah's people after they were drowned, their souls were admitted to the Fire; and like Pharaoh's house who were - following their death - exposed day and night to the Fire.

God - be exalted – said, telling about the people of Noah, in the Quran 71: 25

The explanation:

(Because of their sins, they were drowned [in the flood], then were admitted into a Fire.)

It means: Their bodies were drowned in the water, then their souls were admitted into the Fire.

3- And they will be saved from the punishment in Saqar which is the Fire of Doomsday. Where disbelievers and wrong-doers will be tormented forever.

God - be exalted - said in the Quran 35: 36

The explanation:

(But those who unbelieve, for them [in the Hereafter] will be the fire of Hell; it shall not be decreed for them to die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We reward every unbeliever [and ungrateful one.])
============================================================================

If John's parents were very old then Mary (and Joseph) would also have been well on in years before Jesus was born, an older couple rather than a young couple (bride especially).

John Baptist was older than Jesus by some years

Zacharia the husband of Mary's aunt: the sister of her mother, so Zacharia became the guardian of Mary after her mother brought her to the men of the custodian of God's house at Jerusalem, and she demanded one of them be responsible about her.

Zacharia became the guardian of Mary when she was somewhat older child and her mother wanted to fulfil her vow concerning her to be a servant of the House of God.

Zacharia built for her a private chamber in the House of God, and Mary started to worship God there; the chamber was with one door, the keys of which were kept with Zacharia alone, and there was a high window in that private chamber; only Zacharia goes to see and take care about her as he became her guardian.

Kind-hearted men started to throw fruits and food to Mary through the window of her chamber.
So whenever Zacharia entered her chamber of worshipping, he would find fruits and food; and he asked her: From where is all this fruit and food? Mary answered him: It is from God; He makes the kind-hearted merciful towards me and they throw such fruit and food to me. God provides without restriction to whomever He please.

So at that time and place, Zacharia - who was without son and was elderly and his wife was barren and sterile - prayed God to give him a son to inherit of him the custodianship of the House of God; because he did not trust the others to be the custodian.

As in the Quran 3: 37-38

The explanation:

(Rightgraciously did her Lord received the [child] with gracious favor: He made her grow a goodly growth: He assigned her to Zachariah to take charge of her: Everytime that Zachariah entered into her prayer chamber, he found her having a provision. He said: "O Mary! How [comes] this to you?" She said:"From God: for God offers provision to whom He pleases, withoutstint."

"There and by then", Zachariah prayed to his Lord [and said:] "My Lord, offer to me, out of Your [grace], an offspring that is 'good and righteous';for surely, You are the All-Hearing of the prayer."

Then while he stood praying in the prayer chamber, the angels called to him: "God does give you the glad tidings of John – believing and confirming [Jesus whois] a 'Word from God' – and [he will be] noble, chaste and a prophet among therighteous."

[Zachariah]said: "My Lord! How can I have a son, the while I have attained elderly, and my wife is barren!?" [The angel] said: "[It will be] so; [for]God does whatever He pleases.")

Therefore, it seems from this that John Baptist is some years older than Jesus.

The other point is when Mary became pregnant with Jesus, there had been none that contacted her sexually, but she was engaged to Josephe the carpenter; then after she gave birth to Jesus, she then married Joseph.

So Jesus was born miraculously without father according to God's will and might; because God before had created Adam without father or mother.

You are referencing people that don't exist anymore. That last writer of the NT was the last one 'officially' sent by God, healing by touch was one of the most common sign given. Today we have only readers.

Then some people will demand of that apostle to show them some miracle : an extraordinary work that cannot be done except by God to prove to them that God confirms the truthfulness of the apostle.
Nobody has that authority from God, the next ones that will are the two witnesses of Re.11. They only appear for the last 3 1/2 years before His return. (1263 1/2 days if precision is demanded)

When one sees the truth, what is his need for any miracle? But in case he doubts, then the miracle will make him certain (this is supposed to be the result: that man should believe when he sees the miracle.)
The only difference in salvation is one group is gathered 1,000 years before 'the rest', granted there is a marked difference in how those two groups experience the Kingdom of God. The ones needing proof (at the time of the return) would be part of the deceived group. They are still gathered, say the return is the beginning of the day salvation comes to mankind. Some are gathered at the very beginning, would the ones who come alive at the Great White Throne be included as being gathered at the end of that very same day (from God's POV)

2Pe.3:8
But,
beloved,
be not ignorant of this one thing,
that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day.

If two men: one sees the miracle and does not believe even then, while the other man has not seen the miracle and eventhen he does not believe; whom is blamed more? The one that sees the miracle and does not believe is more worthy of the blame and more worthy of the punishment; because of his extreme stubbornness.
If their death comes before the return then both experience the very same thing, they are asleep. The breath of life returned to God and those same breaths will come back when Jesus returns. Both will be resurrected, one to everlasting life as a sinless person, the other will have to pay for his sins, being alive in hell is how God extracts payment, Hell has a beginning and an end. It is not open until the time the end-time prophecies kick in, by the time of the return it can have been 'open' for about 3 years, that would be when any Jews that are in the grave would be sent there, depending on their sins. The vast majority would be sleeping.
Hell is emptied out at the Great White Throne, anybody still in sin would be sent to the lake. God does not extract double punishments.

New Laws are given at that time, the same one in Re.21.

No matter what the ratio given in Zec.13 cannot be exceeded, 1/3 will be classified as 'believers' and 2/3 will not. The 2/3 are sent to hell, if you died before that day there is a very good chance you will still be dead for the 1,000 years but you will be asleep rather than being in torment. (grace and if you happen to be part of Satan's Harlot affect the sleep/torment aspect)

2- They will be saved form the punishment in the afterlife following their death: like Noah's people after they were drowned, their souls were admitted to the Fire; and like Pharaoh's house who were - following their death - exposed day and night to the Fire.
Actually pre-flood 'people' are treated differently at the Great White Throne. They would be the group the 'sea' gives up at the end og Re.20. They are separate because they are members of mankind that were 'related by blood' to fallen angels. God also brings them back into perfect flesh condition. It is things like this that set God as being the God of the living, He has the ability and power to put thing back to the way they were originally meant to be, for mankind that was eventually knowing about good and evil and being able to see God's face, rather than His son's.

The explanation:
(Because of their sins, they were drowned [in the flood], then were admitted into a Fire.)
It means: Their bodies were drowned in the water, then their souls were admitted into the Fire.

Only Satan and the other fallen angels experience eternal fire, mankind goes through the Judgment Day and once declared to be clean they are given the same Law that God gave to all Heavenly creatures He created when the Heaven was created, once they were under Law God made the Earth and also put us under Law. Both being judged on that Law at a later date. For the fallen ahgeles it is at the end of the 1,000 years, mankind was judged at the beginning and some were allowed to become witnesses to the destruction of fallen angels and 'the rest' do not get invited because they might fall into deception, as it is only Saints are there.

3- And they will be saved from the punishment in Saqar which is the Fire of Doomsday. Where disbelievers and wrong-doers will be tormented forever.
The explanation:
(But those who unbelieve, for them [in the Hereafter] will be the fire of Hell; it shall not be decreed for them to die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We reward every unbeliever [and ungrateful one.])
The flames of hell are eternal in that they never go out during that 1,000 years that men are sent there for. Hell is emptied out at judgment day, when it is sent to the lake it is empty. Men would have to sin one time after that in order to be sent to the lake.

Re.21:7:
He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son.
Re.21:8
But the fearful,
and unbelieving,
and the abominable,
and murderers,
and *****mongers,
and sorcerers,
and idolaters,
and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death.

Isa.65:24
And it shall come to pass,
that before they call,
I will answer;
and while they are yet speaking,
I will hear.

Zacharia the husband of Mary's aunt: the sister of her mother, so Zacharia became the guardian of Mary after her mother brought her to the men of the custodian of God's house at Jerusalem, and she demanded one of them be responsible about her.
????? This is when they are both expecting if I follow this part of it. John was 6 months older than Jesus, that's it. If Jesus was baptised in the Jordan when He just turned 30 the Jogn would have been called by God to start preaching 6 months before that.

Zacharia became the guardian of Mary when she was somewhat older child and her mother wanted to fulfil her vow concerning her to be a servant of the House of God.
No, the Beloved Disciple was given custody of Jesus' Mom at the cross. The beloved Disciple was Mary, sister to Martha and Lazarus and she was a Disciple of John the Baptist. Zacharia and Elizabeth would have died of old age by the time Jesus was 30. Joseph has passed away by that time also (although he was alive when Jesus was 12). Jesus's Mom would have passed away from pld age not long after the cross, certainly before Stephen was killed.

Zacharia built for her a private chamber in the House of God, and Mary started to worship God there; the chamber was with one door, the keys of which were kept with Zacharia alone, and there was a high window in that private chamber; only Zacharia goes to see and take care about her as he became her guardian.
Mary was a daughter of Aaron, she would have been well versed in what all the Priest's knew. Their wives would have been her companions, especially if was over 30 at the time.

That is not what she would have said in the NT, somebody threw it through the window.

So at that time and place, Zacharia - who was without son and was elderly and his wife was barren and sterile - prayed God to give him a son to inherit of him the custodianship of the House of God; because he did not trust the others to be the custodian.

John was a prophesied witness to arrival of the person that would make one of the propheciesed bruises manifest itself. One down, one to go then the blessed hope will have been answered.

Therefore, it seems from this that John Baptist is some years older than Jesus.
Not. lol

The other point is when Mary became pregnant with Jesus, there had been none that contacted her sexually, but she was engaged to Josephe the carpenter; then after she gave birth to Jesus, she then married Joseph.
She was married before the baby was born, probably as soon as the Angel spoke to Joseph, she was still a virgin on the night she gave birth to Jesus..

So Jesus was born miraculously without father according to God's will and might; because God before had created Adam without father or mother.
Not, being associated with Jospeh was his authority to sit on David's throne when He returns. God has a reason for everything He did in the Bible (or caused to happen)

All this will be like a song: I say to you and you say to me :)

So I tell you this final word: I don't worship as you worship, neither do you worship as do I worship; to me the reward of my religion of the exclusive devotion to God alone; to you is the punishment for your religion of the sharing of Jesus with God.

Some of Quraish tribesmen (Harith, Aas, Walied, Aswad Zuhri, Aswad Muttalib and Omayya) came to Prophet Mohammed - salam be to him - and said:
"Mohammed, come and follow our religion and so we follow your religion and share you with all our affair:
you worship our gods for one year, and we worship your God for one year;
so if what we have is better than what you have --> then you have shared with us to it;
and if what you have is better --> then we have shared with you to it."

The prophet said: "Never; I seek refuge in God that I associate others with Him ."

They said: "Then pray like our prayer."
He said: "I shall see what God will tell me."

Therefore, these ayat were revealed: soora 109:

The explanation:
( In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful)

  • [O Mohammed] say: "O unbelievers!"
  • I will never worship [the idols] that you worship [together with God.]
  • Nor are you worshipping as do I worship.
  • Nor do I worship as do you worship.
  • Nor are you going to pray like how I pray.
  • For you, is [the punishment for] your religion, and for me is [the reward for] my religion.)

....to you is the punishment for your religion of the sharing of Jesus with God.
How does your devotion to God result in a relationship that is not described in the 7 letters? This is a skill testing question so go through each letter and describe how no Muslim would ever find himself in that 'specific relationship with God'. (because it would bring punishment)

Your Book doesn't call Jesus the Son of God therefore the Bible is in error. The way the Bible is presented there are two types of beings that God has a 'relationship with. Heavenly beings are higher than men because they can already look on the face of God. 1/3 of them fall into sin and end up in the lake. Earthly flesh is destined to taste death which covers most sins. Even the men called by God occasionally made a 'mistake', Jonah being a blatant example to show that they were not 100% faithful.

God puts the Messiah down as being alive before anything was created, that shows that the Messiah is 'different' from two groups that are less than 100% perfect in obedience and ability to carry out the missions God gives Him. That can be summed up that for the 'salvation prophecies' God sends somebody who cannot fail to complete the mission as desired by God. If anything it shows God to be covering all the variables.

We would trust our own son to carry out our wishes more than asking some kid down the block to do it, The verse below points to that being a valid comparison.

Heb.12:9
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us,
and we gave them reverence:
shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits,
and live?

I can't delete the string below, for whatever reason
