Tonight's new special episode of Doctor Who will be shown in Britain on BBC1 at 7pm and will be shown on BBC America on 19th December. It is supposed to be the scarest episode of Doctor Who ever.
It is set on Mars in the year 2059. The Doctor will be joined by a new companion called Adelaide Brooke who is head of the Mars colony Bowie Base One. The episode features a water-based monster which turns victims into zombies.
Two more special episodes are to follow this episode, the first of which will see David Tennant's Doctor dying and regenerating into the 11th Doctor played by Matt Smith.
The new series returns next year.
