Sydney Roosters player Ian Henderson has suffered an horrific leg break on Thursday, which has all but ended his season just three games in.
The 32-year-old attempted to tackle North Queensland Cowboys star Ethan Lowe in the dying minutes when his right leg bucked underneath him.
The former Catalans player was left in agony moments later before medical staff rushed onto the field, where they could assess the situation.
The English-born star has had a stellar career in rugby league and played for the likes of Bradford Bulls and Catalans Dragons in England's Super League and for the NZ Warriors in Australia's NRL.
But it was a bad day all-round for the Roosters, who were thrashed by the Cowboys as their miserable start to the NRL season continues.
