I'm into small town hockey. NHL, I could care less.

Same.

I mean, I'll admit it, I do watch some NHL games. But wow, do they ever know how to put me to sleep nowadays...

For now, I'd watch some small town hockey...on any day of the week!

Actually, this got me thinking, and I'm considering taking the kids and hubby to an Oil Kings game on Sunday. Sure, it's not 'small town' hockey, but at least it's not the NHL. lol.

I no longer follow NHL hockey as the League has lost its character and does not generate much interest nowadays. A sport whose TV audience is less than that of senior bowling cannot be all that exciting.

But in the past it was great fun to watch. And Willie O'Ree was one reason for that:

Willie O'Ree, the first black man to play in the National Hockey League ... grew up in New Brunswick, Canada, went on to school in Quebec, where he played hockey for two years, was scouted and went pro ... played for 21 years ...
