The U.S. economy is solid, but there’s no ‘Trump bump’

Yes, more Americans are getting jobs. Hiring in July was stronger than experts expected, with a net gain of 209,000 jobs. That's good news, but the pace of hiring is a tad worse than under Obama. The economy has added 1,074,000 jobs since Trump took office. During the same stretch last year, the economy gained 1,246,000 jobs under Obama.

Obama's numbers reflected an increase in part time jobs in the service sector especially.

Record numbers on social assistance, EI, welfare, etc during BHO's tenure as well.

Yes, but we're forgetting one important thing and that's how partisanship alters perspective. And of course that was after the 2008 "crash" so there was pretty much nowhere to go but up.

I know your kind all too well. When it's your guy in office and things are going well it's all credit to them. When things aren't going well it's all the previous leader's fault and/or it's because of outside influences your guy has no control over.
When it's not your guy in office and things are going well, it's all because of the great job the previous leader did and/or it's because of outside influences beyond his control. When things aren't going well, well naturally it's allllll his fault.
