Dolores O’Riordan’s bandmates are planning to release a final The Cranberries album featuring the late singer next year.
The singer recorded tracks with guitarist Noel Hogan for what would have been the band’s first album in six years last year and they had planned to release the project in 2018.
O’Riordan’s sudden death in January forced the group to put the release on hold, but now Hogan and his fellow The Cranberries co-founders have announced plans to put the album out as a finale next year.

And the bandmates will be marking the 25th anniversary of the release of their debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We, later this year by offering fans an upgrade.
A statement from the remaining trio reads: “Since last summer the band had been working with Universal Music on the creation of a very special 25th anniversary edition of the album, a newly remastered version with previously unreleased material of ours as well as other bonus material from the era of our debut album.
“We had planned to release this special edition this month to coincide with the 25th anniversary. However, given Dolores’ passing in January we put the entire project on hold. In recent weeks we revisited this. After much consideration we have decided to finish what we started. We thought about it and decided that as this is something that we started as a band, with Dolores, we should push ahead and finish it.
“So that’s the plan, to finish the project and get the special 25th anniversary edition album out later this year.”
The statement continues: “We will also be completing the recording of a new studio album as previously announced, which we also started last year and for which Dolores had already recorded the vocals. All going well we hope to have this new album finished and out early next year. We will keep you all up to date as things progress.”

The Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’riordan sounds extremely upbeat in newly released audio of a voicemail she left just hours before her death.
Dolores was found dead at the age of 46 in a hotel room at the London Hilton on Park Lane in January. The results of a coroner’s inquiry into her death are yet to be released.
Her friend and former manager, record executive Dan Waite was shocked by her passing – as he received a voicemail from the Zombie singer just hours before she died, haunting audio of which has now been obtained by TMZ.com.
In the recorded message, timed at just after 1 am on 15 January, the day of her death, Dolores sounded cheerful when she told Dan she’s at her London hotel telling him a cover version of Zombie by Bad Wolves, a band signed to his label, “sounds f–king awesome” and “f–king terribly good” and that she will “come into the studio if you need my time”.
Dolores was originally supposed to join Bad Wolves on the track, which the band released after her death to raise funds for he three children Taylor, 20, Molly, 16, and Dakota, 12.
After talking business, the Irish singer then asks after the record executive’s wife Irene, saying she still has her leather jacket.
Dan had previously revealed the existence of the voicemail to WENN in a statement, part of which read, “…She sounded full of life, was joking and excited to see me and and my wife this week.”
The rocker was laid to rest next to her father in a cemetery in her hometown of Ballybricken, Ireland following a private funeral and a public memorial which drew fans from across the country.
The results of the coroner’s inquest into her death were due to be released at a hearing on Tuesday, but officials announced it would not take place as planned and a new date is yet to be set.
