One of the teens accused in the Rehtaeh Parsons child porn case is spending some time behind bars on unrelated charges.
The 19-year-old was sentenced Tuesday to 10 days in jail for breaching his conditions on charges of possession of stolen property and breaching a court order.
Crown attorney Michelle James told the Chronicle Herald newspaper the accused was subject to house arrest, but went to work at a fish plant anyway.
She asked the judge to give him a "short, sharp period of custody" for a "flagrant" breach.
This marks the second time the teen has pleaded guilty to breaching release conditions. The last time for drinking booze on Nov. 21 despite facing child porn charges in the Parsons case.
Parsons, 17, was taken off life-support last April following a suicide attempt. Her parents alleged she'd been sexually assaulted and that a photo of the attack was circulated to schoolmates electronically.
That case is due back in court March 31.
