I have received a copy of this letter which was sent to Bell World Stores stating changes to how Sympatico uses their monthly caps. The caps are now going to be combined to one number for you to use upload or download as you so choose.

"As of November 4th. Basic 2 GB total (upload and download) HS: 10 GB total (upload and download) Ultra: 20 GB total (upload and download)" so you will be able to use your bandwidth as you see fit. Upload or download it's your choice.
"$30 maximum Bandwidth Charge (permanent)" this means that you can never be charged more then 30 dollars for going over your bandwidth limit.
"Why is Sympatico Implementing these changes? A combined Up/Down bandwidth reduces customers affected by 50 to 60%. Implementing a combined Up/Down bandwidth level will alleviate churn, increase acquisitions, and decrease calls to Sympatico Member Services."

Makes sense to me. In the first place, caps were a really bad idea. But I think the damage is done? By still having caps, they are losing customers to the ever growing competetion.

Sympatico changing its caps.

Well I'm not to sure about that one. First off this may only be within certain areas of Ontario. I just signed up for ultra high speed with Sympatico and they dont seem to be changing anything in the near future. Infact.....if you exceed the amount of bandwidth that you get included in your monthly bill then you are charged per gb after that givin amount.
Where did you hear that they were doing this from? Who said that they were removing the caps and setting the price to that certin amount?
