Atlantic hurricane season ain't over yet. Sandy didn't hit until mid to late October last year.

Still, nasty storms are nasty storms. Hoping the damage, injury and loss of life is minimal.

This year, like the year 2000, is a 'unpredicted hiatus' in the growth of global warming. the Western drought was broken by an unusually robust South west Monsoon- caused by a lot of east pacific storms forming and tracking north.

apparently, the Atlantic quiet season was caused by a lot of dust blowing off the Sahara .
