The path the Liberals and Conservatives are following was mapped out in 1993 and is coming to full force in the form of the G.A.T.T. (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) G.A.A.T
This agreement says simply all countries involved have an equal shot at other members trade or industry in any area. The workings of the agreement is monitored by the MULTILATERAL TRADE ORGANIZATION M.T.O.
The agenda is set by right wing thinking people, the corporate world group of which both parties subscribe.
Alberta’s Mr. Klein has set the pace for evolvement. In electrical power generation he invented the Power Purchase Agreement. A select group were sold the generating capacities of the lower cost generation across Alberta. (PPAs) These holdings were “flipped”, no different than a mortgage scam, several times in some cases; each time incrementing the cost of the utility upwards for consumers. Higher cost utilities remain sheltered by the Government. Estimates run to several billions of dollars lost to Alberta tax/utility payers.
The power lines were divested and sold, now owned by a US company who sold off a large part of their US lines to buy into the more profitable Alberta. A few short years ago, turning your essential services over to the control and profit of a foreign company would be unthinkable.
Ralph is on the threshold of “privatizing” health care. The GAAT Agreement guarantees US companies will be able to have an equal shot at the business of health care. We are warned by Australia who went this route a few years ago that once US companies were involved in your health care it was no time at all before they took it over and, it’s impossible to get them out!
There have been riots in the streets all over the world but Canadian’s seem to want to walk quietly to the slaughter and the public are led around by the nose on political witch hunts and classical misdirections.
Yes. Mr.Harper and Mr. Martin are on this path. Open the Canada Health Act; change it to allow for private health care and, let the devil take the balance.
