they freaked-out man.

anyway, given the other tripe stugents are shown and taught or made to believe, a little reality (that is hidden from most adults never mind their mumbling broods) is good for the populace...learn 'em about what is actually going on...every mouth-breather out there needs a LiveLeak account too.

A Bronx middle-school teacher rattled her students — including one who was near tears — by showing an ISIS video of a terrorist beheading a journalist, documents show.

South Bronx Academy for Applied Media veteran Alexiss Nazario faced termination, but was let off with a $300 fine last summer after acknowledging she made a mistake by not previewing the clip or getting the principal’s permission.

Investigators spoke to three eighth-graders who were freaked out by the macabre clip, which showed a masked man holding a knife to the neck of a kneeling *victim clad in orange.

The students testified that the video blacked out the actual beheading but showed its gruesome aftermath: the man’s severed head placed on top of

I don't know about your grade 8 kids, but mine would freak out, not because they are sheltered, but because they know the difference between games and the real thing. ISIS is scary to them and they would be horrified seeing a real beheading.... get rid of this teacher, she lacks judgement.

I think it's a good thing to show the kids the reality of terrorism at its worst. Shielding them from the real world only makes it more traumatic when the facts of life hit them in the face later on.
Those people who defend and sympathize with terrorists are the ones who never were exposed to the reality of what terrorists really do. Hearing about it on the news is not the same as seeing it for one's self.

Yeah giving kids nightmares is always a prudent thing.

I'd rather my kid had nightmares than be seduced into fighting for ISIS, thinking it's adventurous and glamorous.

Jeeez! People raise their kids protecting them from the scenes of violence from the real world, let they play violent video games thinking it's all a 'game' and then send them off the war where they face real violence.
And then wonder why they come back (if they come back!) with PTSD!
Kids can accept the truth when it's presented to them. They aren't as fragile and dumb as people think.

By treating them like fragile and dumb, you essentially make them fragile and dumb. It's self fulfilling.
