I was trying to be humourous Sal. Never mind.
sorry Machjo, I missed the levity...i guess I just feel really sorry for the family who have had such tragedy and now can't even bury their son

What about a Muslim cemetary?
I'd immagine many Christian cemetaries would be eager to give him his last Christian rights in a last-ditch attempt to save his soul..

I believe you have to be near death, but still alive to get Last Rites. There may be someone of better authority on this than me, but I believe in order to save ones soul they must accept last rites, accept Christ as their savior, and some prayers are read. I'm not a practicing Catholic, but at my Mother's deathbed she asked for a priest who administered her last rites. I was not privy to the actual ritual because that was between her and her priest.

well except unfortunately it isn't just a headline...they have no where to bury his body and I think that is shameful. Although I understand the emotion because were it my cemetery I would be afraid all the whack jobs would destroy it in their emotional zeal to display just how angry they are that he did it.

And you are right, others have killed more and been buried without this reaction.

Cause and effect though, cause and effect. Media is grasping for new 'angles' on the story because since the Feds have the other guy in custody, not much new information has really come out. They (the media) want to keep up the kind of pace like the day of the bombing and the manhunt, and they'll do whatever they can to try to do that, print anything and everything at this point. That's how I view this headline. There is no reason that this had to be a headline at all.

Yes, I can understand the reluctance to draw attention to where he is being buried, but as to not having anywhere to bury him? They have burial plots for the indigent, so I can't believe that there is nowhere to buy this guy. Of course, now they may have a real bitch of a time finding one due to the headline.

I suspect the funeral home is enjoying a little (very little) fame. Massachusetts has, of course, a procedure for unclaimed bodies. After two weeks the body is given to the state Department of Transitional Assistance (the welfare people) for burial, according to 117A Massachusetts General Laws section 9 and 505 Code of Massachusetts Regulations section 2.04.

close yes...except there are no "last rites" any more, it is actually sacrament of the sick at least it was a while back.

You're absolutely correct. I should have shown a little more respect there.

What about a Muslim cemetary? Are they turning him down too?

C'mon, where's the marketing department when you need it.

The Mormons should be jumping at the chance.
