Did you know that Osama bin Laden is a fan of North London giants Arsenal? Or that Meat Loaf loves Hartlepool United?
Well you do now.....

The Sun
IT’S the old story. You’re at a football match and desperate for a half-time pie and Bovril – but Osama Bin Laden’s at the front of the queue counting out a load of loose change.
Far fetched? Nothing like it.
Yesterday we revealed how The Queen is a secret Arsenal fan. But the Gooners aren’t the only football club in Britain who have big name supporters.
Here DEREK BROWN presents the weird, weird world of unlikely soccer superfans . . .
DUKE OF YORK - Norwich City
IT would be easy to believe the Queen's son, Duke of York, would follow York City – but he actually shows his allegiance to Norwich City.
The prince is a huge fan of the club part-owned by Delia Smith.
Other fans include Stephen Fry and The Darkness.
****************
TOM HANKS - Aston Villa
A-LIST Hollywood actor Tom Hanks likes nothing more than kicking back in his LA mansion and watching another scintillating nil-all Aston Villa game.
********************
SADDAM HUSSEIN - Dundee FC
YOU would think tyrant Saddam Hussein would have followed Dundee United – nicknamed The Arabs – but it was their rivals Dundee FC he favoured. His affiliation was revealed by his pal Giovanni di Stefano, another big fan of the Scottish club.
********************
DANIEL DAY-LEWIS & BRAD PITT - Millwall and Man Utd.
HOLLYWOOD hunks Daniel Day-Lewis, left, and Brad Pitt are both closet soccer fans.
In Gangs Of New York, Dan plays a hard-as-nails nutter – so it’s fitting he supports tough London club Millwall. Brad, on the other hand, still tunes in to watch Manchester Utd – despite manager Alex Ferguson selling his hero David Beckham.
*************************
SYLVESTER STALLONE - Everton
ADRIAN, Adrian, Addrrriiiiiaaaaan. Not a famous line from Rocky, but what Sylvester Stallone was screaming as he watched Everton star Adrian Heath turn out for the club in the Eighties.
Sly is a massive fan of the club and even took to the pitch to greet fans earlier this year. Another famous terrace face is Sir Paul McCartney.
********************
OSAMA BIN LADEN - Arsenal
YOU could argue a desolate cave in the remote Tora Bora mountains had about the same atmosphere at Arsenal’s old Highbury ground.
Which is maybe why al-Qaeda mastermind Osama Bin Laden loved it so much.
He attended a game in March 1994 (before everyone knew who he was) and was so impressed he bought a club scarf, gloves and Ray Parlour wig. He’s wearing it now.
*********************
RAY LIOTTA - Spurs
IF you are at a White Hart Lane urinal and happen to splash the shiny, expensive Italian shoes next to you then be afraid . . . be very afraid.
Goodfellas hardman gangster Ray Liotta is a big fan of Spurs and if you upset him you may end up sleeping with the fishes.
Other big-name fans include Barry McGuigan, Phil Collins and chubby warbler Antony Costa.
*************************
MEAT LOAF - Hartlepool United
MOST people would do anything for love, but they wouldn’t support Hartlepool United. But that hasn’t stopped hairy chub rocker Meat Loaf embracing the League 2 leaders.
Meaty is so obsessed, he once tried to buy a house near the ground – but couldn’t find one near his £1million budget.
************************
MICHAEL JACKSON - Exeter City
“YOU know they’re bad, they’re bad – come on, you know. And the whole world has to answer right now, just to tell you once again, Who’s bad?”
That’ll be Exeter City, Nationwide Conference duffers and fave team of Michael Jackson. He appeared at the then Third Division side in 2002 with pal Uri Geller (equally weird). Other fans include former F1 world champion Nigel Mansell (normal).
***************************
GORAN IVANISEVIC - West Brom
YOU would probably have more joy understanding a Croat than a broad Brummie (Birmingham) accent (even most Brits have trouble with it). Maybe that’s why Balkan tennis ace Goran Ivanisevic loves West Brom. He was even presented with a signed shirt by the players, which he wore on court for a tournament final.
