Star Trek actor accused of sex assault during love scenes

A Star Trek actor from across the pond has been accused of rape and sexual assault by six of his female acting students, according to a report in the U.K. Sun.
The assaults are alleged to have occurred when British thespian Chris Obi was doing love scenes with the women, all in their 20s, during private acting lessons at his Notting Hill home in London between July 2012 and August 2018.
The Sun says the 51-year-old Obi, whose real name is Christopher Ogugua, was arrested at Heathrow Airport after arriving back from Los Angeles. He’s denied the allegations and been released on bail.
Obi starred as Klingon leader T’Kuvma for two episodes of Star Trek: Discovery in 2017, and his other acting credits include Snow White and the Huntsman opposite Charlize Theron and the Scarlett Johansson film Ghost in the Shell.
Star Trek: Discovery, starring The Walking Dead’s Sonequa Martin-Green, is the seventh series in the Star Trek franchise.
