Why is it unlikely that condoleeza Rice will be on the 2008 Presidential ticket? Nothing to do with race or gender. Even Nixon or FDR might find getting on the ticket daunting these days. Kennedy and Johnson wouldn't have found it daunting nor would their replacements Johnson and Humphrey or even Humphrey and Muskie following that!
