Didn't your comment indicate China doesn't value human life, a girl especially, indicating that you live in a society that does yet we take part in (of verbally support) people who definitely do not value the life of children.

What would be the difference between a car and a bomb?

And where was it that I said I care?

I was shocked in articles where the driver reportedly said it was cheaper for him to pay a death benefit than to pay for her hospital care, when he realized he had hit the girl and so proceeded to let the second impact happen.

Welcome to the 21st century-when a person has money as their god that's how they think.

“wulfie68…..The reasoning behind this, well I was shocked in articles where the driver reportedly said it was cheaper for him to pay a death benefit than to pay for her hospital care,…..”
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying the people who passed by this little girl and all drivers were right to keep going. I’ve heard a few people in Canada make the same type of comment. (along the lines of If you’re going to hit someone, do a ‘good job’, because it’ll cost you more to pay for all their care and necessities if they live for the rest of their lives, than if they die.) Unfortunately, if you think about it, it’s probably true.

“…Many people in China are hesitant to help people who appear to be in distress for fear that they will be blamed. High-profile lawsuits have ended with good Samaritans ordered to pay hefty fines to individuals they sought to help…..”
Good Samaritans here in Canada have also got into trouble for trying to help someone.
Of all the people who went around the little girl after she was hit, I don’t believe for a second these people didn’t see her. Pedestrians and other drivers alike WENT AROUND HER.
I don’t believe it has anything to do with the victim being a girl.

The Canadian-Chinese community is upset that this is getting a lot of hits on Youtube and is making look in a negative light according to a Toronto radio station.

Liberalman, Perhaps your comment is missing a word or 2. But that” the Canadian-Chinese community is upset that this is getting a lot of hits on Youtube and is making look in a negative light according to a Toronto radio station.” I say to them, Too bad, so sad… this should be looked at in a negative light. It is disgusting.
