In video you have to see to believe, a motorist in Mississauga was captured driving down a busy street with a massive metal staircase affixed to the roof of her car.
Peel Regional Police responded to reports about a Mazda travelling on Queensway E. near Cawthra Rd. with a set of stairs on top of a vehicle.
Cops charged a 22-year-old Woodbridge woman with careless driving after she was seen driving around with a staircase attached to her car roof.
“So it turns out this individual backed into that staircase over at Queensway and Dixie (Rd.),” Const. Tyler Bell-Morena said.
“And then for reasons we really don’t understand, drove all the way down the Queensway with it attached to their vehicle before finally getting intercepted by police.”
He added in disbelief: “We’re not really sure what the heck was going on there.”
It remains unclear where the staircase originated from.
Another video posted on TikTok and shared on X shows the vehicle with its odd attachment pulled over in a residential area while an officer and the apparent driver stand next to the spectacle.
