I have an unlocked Motorola V3 for frequent trips to Europe as I can buy SIM cards at airports.

What are the settings for Rogers WAP/MMS/Email?

I have looked everywhere, and Rogers has not been much help.

If I ever get this thing working, I will post detailed information on a website!!!

Hello again Kalok!

I've started a webpage to try and get this figured out. Take a look and see what's missing since my phone still does not log onto the web or send pictures or send email.

www.gulfislander.com/v3

Hopefully once it is working, this webpage will help many others.

I need to call Rogers again to make sure theyve added the service needed for MMS.

Thanks,

Justin

RAZR V3 Rogers settings - work for me

hi,
I tried to use Kalok's settings, but they did not work for my new v3 on Rogers network. I decided to phone rogers, and they gave me the settings over the phone. According to the tech guy, the v3 settings have to be entered manually, and that he can't send an update file. Here are the settings that I used (and that seem to work fine):

NAME: Rogers {this can actually be called anything you like}
homepage: http://www.mymobilehomepage.rogers.com
service type1: HTTP
Gateway IP: 010.128.001.069
Port1: 80
Domain1: blank
Service Type 2: Wap Secure
Gateway IP 2: 010.128.001.069
Port 2: 9203
Domain 2: blank
DNS1: 000.000.000.000
DNS 2: 000.000.000.000
Timeout: 15 mins

CSD no. 2:

Line type 2: ISDN
GPRS APN: goam.com
User name: wapuser1
Password: wap

Rogers Media/MMS
name: Rogers MMS
homepage: mms.gprs.rogers.com
{all the other settings are identical to the previous ones except for the last 3}
GPRS APN: Media.com
User Name: Media
Password: mda01

The following instructions are as stated in the previous posting by Kalok.

-->you must now Link this MMS Data account to the MMS account you create in:
messages in messages/menu/message setup/mms message setup/Server info/new
Service name: Rogers
Server name: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
web session name: Rogers MMS

kalok should you be posting all those configuration settings online. last I looked those were for WCTS agents to guide customers . you may want to confer with the Rogers Information Guidelines before posting such things next time
