Rogers speed cut in half

I think it might be a good thing that Rogers has cut the speed in half... It makes life harder for abusers. I've found that downloads are faster and I can use in general more bandwidth... Probably because the folks who are using all the bandwidth they have at their disposal have less network resources to use because its cut in half.

Dont look at it as such a bad thing... Because its really not. Since when have you EVER experiences 3mbits/second? Probably never.

I never experienced 3mb a second but I could at least get around 2.4mb a sec. Now with this cap I'm lucky if I get 1.2mb a sec. Also the upload speed is bad. I used to get 365kbps, now i'm lucky if I get over 180kbps.

I now have a 3mb DSl connection for only 69.96 per month CDN.

Frubsen: he has a nice connection :) Im considering a faster broadband service similar to his... no time to do much right now however.
