Afghanistan The Problem and Reality
Religion in Afghanistan
Most of the people living in Afghanistan are of the Moslem faith.
There are very few Bhuddists and even fewer Christians.
Their adherence to the Islamic religion varies depending on their physical location within the country.
Their location in the country has been determined by historical actions and can be viewed in a historical context. These historical actions also figure into their chosen or forced participation in the Islamic religion.
Starting with the members of the Taliban - the most vocal of the Afghan organizations and also the most violent. This group was drawn from tribes in the north of Afghanistan mostly bordering with the old Soviet Union.
This is the area that receive monetary assistance and weapons (as well as training) from the United States during the insurrection against the Soviets.
During the Soviet invasion and occupation of Afghanistan Osama Bin Laden rose to importance. He was a money man and organizer.
He was apparently drawn to the fundamentalist practice of Islam as it was being practiced in the area. It is called ‘Wahabi’ and is supported shakily by referring to extreme ‘Sharia’ law when a dispute arises.
To put it simply the extreme religion of the place seemed to suit his ego.
As we shall see local prejudices were in favor of Osama Bin Laden and helped him rise to prominence on a wave of hatred for outsiders even though he himself was and remains an outsider to the people in that region.
Using Saudi money, American money and weapons and his own billions he was able to buy influence and power for himself.
This northern region I am referring to borders on an area and country known as Tajikistan. Tajikistan was once part of the Soviet Union and was recently declared independent when the Russian Empire began breaking up.
To understand what is happening in the area now as well as Tajikistan and its influence on the area in Afghanistan first please know that the suffix ‘-stan’ means ‘place of’ or ‘area where there is a lot of’.
For example - Americastan would be a place where there are a lot of Americans - like in the United States.
Turkmenistan then is an area where there are a lot of Turkmen. In fact - the people of Turkey first moved west from Turkmenistan when Mongol invaders swept in from the East. The history of this region is dominated by historic actions related to invasion, conquering and one population supplanting another.
Tajikistan has a unique history even for this mysterious region.
At one point during the centuries past the Arabs had gone on an unsuccessful series of conquests. Bands of hem ended up isolated in the mountainous region north of present day Afghanistan.
During that time when one of these Arabs married a native woman then their children were referred to as Tajiks. It is from this group which considers themselves ethnically Arab in a country where they are surrounded by many other races that we find the roots of the Taliban.
The Arab connection and the racial mystique they enjoy in the area while being cut off from the reality of their position in the outside world helped make it easier for a man like Osama Bin Laden to organize the locals in his fight against the Soviets.
It was that war also that began the movement of fighters from other areas into that region. The local Islamic leaders known as Imams in that area and in Afghanistan were encouraged to declare a Jihad (a war sanctioned by the Islamic religion - a so-called ‘Holy War’ which has nothing holy about it). They were offered power and money in return for their support of the insurrection against the Soviets.
The organization of the Tajiks and the Taliban extracted from them is a loosely formed tribal society. Leaders come and go due to their own egos and the transience of public opinion. That is why it seems like there is no one in command there - that is because there is no one in command there. There are influencers, however, and Osama Bin Laden has been one of them.
The Taliban’s political and tribal organization, in fact, resembles more closely a Los Angeles street gang than it does traditional tribal setups.
To return to the division in Afghanistan the people in the south of Afghanistan - known as Balochistan - also follow Islam closely but their practice is more closely related to the way it is done in Iran.
This is because Iran, as we know, was once the seat of the Persian Empire and the western and southern parts of Afghanistan were included in and dominated by the Persian Empire.
In one area of northern Afghanistan - near the center and west of Kabul but isolated from it - is an area known as ‘Roh’. There a splinter form of Islam is practiced. The people there are fiercely independent and contact with them is intermittent. They are ethnic Mongols descended from colonists and settlers left by Ghenghis Khan during his westward expansion.
Now we come to the people we refer to as Afghans.
To understand their version of Islam we need to know a couple of other things.
First of all the waves of conquest that the invaders made through the area were sometimes incomplete. For the part of people who were spreading Islam they did use the sword but sometimes they were not very thorough about how they set things up. Islam itself is a half-formed religion cobbled together over time by men interested more in holding together crumbling political relationships rather than with ultimate salvation and God.
That is why we see in places like Somalia people practicing Wahabi with the Sharia law as well as practicing Sufi mystical practices including hypnotism while in parts of Turkey we see the whirling dervishes who believe that spinning around tightly in a circle brings them closer to God by producing visions.
Afghanistan is not unique in this regard. Invaders entered the area and demanded that the local people follow Islam and Mohamed. The choice was clear - follow the new religion and accept the new leadership system or your wife will be killed, your daughter will be raped, your son will be tortured and you will get a sword down your throat. The logical response by the local people who had no outside support and little outside contact was to go with the flow.
They accepted Islam on the surface but maintained their true religion underneath. In fact these people practice Islam in name only. There are Christian sects in Africa and southeast Asia in the same predicament but we are not concerned with them right now - just these Afghans.
The Afghans don’t even call themselves Afghans. The name Afghanistan was given to the area by the British and Russians while they were fighting over it at the end of the 19th Century.
The Afghan people call their country ‘Pukhtun-khwa’ (Pathan country) or ‘Watan-khwa’ (home country).
The geographical area in which they live which includes some parts of neighboring countries like Tajikistan and parts of Pakistan and Iran is known as Khorassan - ‘the country of the sun’.
That name was known to the Greeks and Romans during their days of Empire.
The type of Islam practiced by the people we call the Afghans closely resembles Judaism.
This is the reason the war continued in Afghanistan even after the Russians were defeated.
It turned into a Religious Civil War waged in the arena of the region rather than one based on present day national territorial borders.
Besides the fact that the drug trade is so strong - which is not surprising considering that heroin comes from poppies whose propagation takes little more than sprinkling their seeds on the snow in wintertime - besides the fact that the drug trade is strong and supplies the region with unscrupulous outside contacts and cash for weapons the religious aspect of the war is of tantamount importance to the Islamic fundamentalists which include, of course, Osama bin Laden and Al Queda.
This is the most important part of this report and after these few more notes I will close and leave the rest to you.
The Afghanis call themselves ‘Bani Israil’.
They consider themselves and trace their descent from the tribes of Israel - they are Israelites.
Their version of Islam resembles Judaism so closely because it is Judaism.
According to historical actions they arrived in Afghanistan after traveling from the western borders of Khorassan where they had been left.
They had been brought to that place by Nebuchadnezzar.
The same Nebucadnezzar from the Holy Bible who rounded up and moved away the tribes of Judah - the people who we know as the present-day Afghans.

Of course this means a lot of other things.
It raises questions about the claims of the Palestinians, how Islam spreads itself and basic issues about whether governments based on Islam have the right to rule at all.
As a result the War in Afghanistan is very much a religious war as well. It is an extended act of genocide like the similar present day actions in Sudan.
The war in Afghanistan is very important - more so than Iraq which now can viewed merely as a secure supply line to the war in Afghanistan.
Now you know more about the war in Aghanistan than you did before.
The next Memorial Day if you see a veteran from the fighting in Afghanistan you can see him or her in the light of the monumental struggle in which we are all partaking. They have suffered the brunt of it and held up the force of right against the enemies of light.
They have fought for the freedom and liberty of oppressed people everywhere and through every time.
In closing - the fact that the Afghanis are descended from the tribes of Judah in the Bible makes the Bible a historical document.
The following argument then figures - if that is true then why not all the rest?
The arguments for war on the part of the Islamic fundamentalist throughout the region and in the rest of the world undermines their own position and even the governments founded on it.
We don’t need a President who knows how they think and understands their motive and wants to work with them like Barack Obama does.
We need a President of the United States who understands that how they think is wrong and what to do to correct it - like Hillary Clinton obviously does.
I hope you can glean the truth from this set of notes.
Afghanistan Make Up
Afghanistan is made up of several smaller countries that have been gathered into one.
This conglomeration was created at the end of the 19th century. It was done in order to solidify and make clear the border between what was then considered India and the possessions of the British Empire and the southern reaches of the Russian Empire.
The jumble of nationalities and cultures that existed at the end of the 19th century has not changed much. The same players in the game of the nation of Afghanistan are still on the field and with one notable exception everything remains politically and socially the same as it did in the 19th century and indeed – for about 800 years before that.
In the south of the country the people are mainly of a brown or black complexion. The southern section of the country has been historically known as ‘Balochistan’. It is sparsely populated as opposed to the central and northern parts of the country.
Presently there is a lot of fighting going on in that region. The region is easily accessible from the east though present-day Pakistan and from the west by Iran. Iran has apparently been aiding and abetting fighters that are headed into the area as well as supplying some that have been there for some decades or have more recently arrived.
The Actions of Iran
The question as to why Iran should do these things is large but it boils down to a few simple points. The first point is that if the Iranians can get the fundamentalist Iranian lunatics to go to Afghanistan and fight they won’t stay at home and try to gain political power there. So – the first point is that the Iranians are playing a trick on their own extremists by directing them to Afghanistan.
The second point is again redirection – if the Iranians can get the fighters entering their territory to keep on going then they will not stay in Iran and cause problems there for the fat and well-fed clerics that run the place.
The third point as to why the Iranians would help them is just because they are trying to make trouble. Historically Iran was known as Persia and as the Persian empire the Persians were rich, intelligent and civilized. Their current state of affairs is clear to the world but they know their own history and the evil and cruel men who have taken over that nation still strive to produce what their better counterparts created with ease. By destabilizing Afghanistan they believe they are setting a counterpoint in power to NATO while increasing their prestige in the world. In reality they are exposing the ugly underbelly of their rotten society.
The fourth point is profit. Fighters in Afghanistan need a supply of guns, ammunition and material. They provide a flow of cash into Iran to purchase these items.
Clearly Iran’s interests in Afghanistan are not only not friendly to the United Nations and NATO – their interests are unfriendly to Afghans in general and specifically those people living in Balochistan.
The Futile Pakistan Government
On the eastern border Pakistan has intermittently been disrupting the flow of fighters and equipment into Afghanistan but some of the same issues confront the Pakistanis who themselves are in an unsettled state.
It seems there is a tightly controlled government in Pakistan and, indeed, that is what it is. But that tight control does not usually go much farther than the government offices. The control of the Pakistani government does not extend equally down into the population of Pakistan. Pakistan remains much as it did when it was first formed in the middle of the 20th century when millions of Muslim Indians poured into the area in order to escape persecution by the Hindu majority in India.
The Hindus and others who had lived in southern Pakistan themselves passed across the border into India with a small percentage fleeing westward into Afghanistan into historic Balochistan where they found tribes and customs related to their own. These people were fleeing the Muslim majority that formed in southern Pakistan.
Meanwhile, as the borders of Pakistan were drawn, they took into them a variety of tribes and cultures and at least two smaller independent countries along with parts of three others.
This is the northern section of Pakistan and it is mostly uncontrolled by the government of Pakistan. It is referred to as the ‘Tribal Areas’. Some of them are ruled by tribal chiefs and others have more advanced and complicated forms of local government – which, if allowed to blossom to fruition, would, of course, throw off the government of Pakistan in order to declare their freedom.
It would seem that the natural course of events to stabilize the area would be for the Pakistani government to march in there and pacify the people by shooting them up – that’s what modern warfare is anyway – but the fact is that the north is just a little less populated than the south. There are a lot of people up there.
The southern Pakistanis like the southern Afghans in Balochistan are dark complexioned. In the north of Pakistan white skinned and rufous skinned people can be found. They are severely segregated among themselves and completely exclusive to the southern people with which they used to trade often but against whom they have had more and more grievances and as a result less and less contact.
Section 3 : Obama and Massachusetts
Thinking of vacationing in Massachusetts?
Don’t do it.
Or if you do - wear a turban and some chic sheikh sheets.
There’s a lot of money in Massachusetts.
A huge chunk of Federal spending ends up in the present day Massachusetts Bay Colony thanks to John Kerry and Edward Kennedy.
They’ve got so much money there they’ve got some to spare. That’s why they’ve been throwing it at Barack Obama who is doing his level best to bury the American dream with it.
In September 2001 two planes flew out of Boston and destroyed the World Trade Center in downtown New York City in broad daylight.
Boston had become at that time, and remains today, a home to many wealthy Arabs.
Prominent among them were Bin Laden’s own family. There were so many of them in Boston that the day after the attack, even before the investigation began, President Bush had two planeloads of them airlifted to secrecy and safety in Saudi Arabia.
Kerry and Kennedy kept their mouths shut.
The plane sent to destroy the White House never made it but Kerry and Kennedy have apparently decided to send Obama to finish the job.
It’s a non-stop flight. Obama is headed right to the heart of our government.
His flight plan is fueled by money.
The needs of this nation won’t stand in the way of his naked ambition, either.
Even though the Kerry-Kennedy combo’s idea of equal rights appears to be defined as equal access to abortion for men as well as women the people of Massachusetts and Boston are content to just sit and watch.
Once home to liberty and justice Massachusetts now hosts social workers from Communist Venezuela, Irish Republican Army terrorists and Arab millionaires satisfying some of their more bizarre tastes which have been outlawed in Saudi Arabia but which are for sale in Boston.
Massachusetts - one source of Obama’s money - try to trace it.
If you want to know how really bad it is, consider this : Obama has admitted plagiarizing the words of Massachusetts Governor Patrick during this set of democratic primaries. Not to split hairs but Governor Patrick’s first name is ‘Deval’. That’s right - one could say that Barack Husein Obama is running for president with the words of the devil in his mouth.
Is this the kind of government you want?
She came from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Her foul remarks dripped from her mouth in London, England when she got herself onto a BBC news broadcast.
Her name is Samantha Power and she was a close advisor to Barack Husein Obama.
She resigned from that position after making some idiotic statements against Hillary Clinton.
She was brought to the United States at age 9 - from war torn Ireland.
Like Obama she had an abbreviated American childhood.
It’s to say what impact her life in Ireland had on her but as we can see by the overbearing, nasty attitude that Obama seems to have picked up during his formative years in Indonesia we can surmise that she was not left unscathed by the confusion of growing up in a society that is dominated by 18th Century Catholicism, infused with Communist tendencies and happily at war with itself for nearly the last 100 years.
The hatred of some Irish for the English and even each other spills over to Americans when they arrive here. It shows its ugliest face in the group known as the Irish Republican Army.
The vicious remarks that Samantha Power made on behalf of Obama echo the shrieking fury of the IRA and its communist fundamentalist form of terrorism.
Keeping in mind that the IRA has passed into the role of supplier for terrorist organizations like FARC in Columbia, the lunatic Palestinians and others in Africa we now have another uncomfortable connection between the junior senator from Illinois and some very unsavory characters.
His associates and friends now start to form a tight know around him. It seems he cannot distance himself fast enough from his present set of friends.
They include Raila Odinga, Louis Farrakhan and now Samantha Power. Even his own church was added to the list as he tries to pretend that belonging to a church that is fundamentally racist does not mean you are racist too. He must think we are all fools.
His friends seem to be enemies to us all - that’s strange, don’t you think?
Obama continues to float on a sea of green.
Who knows? Maybe he will succeed in buying the election.
Maybe this nation has become so corrupt that we can all be paid off with a few dollars.
Personally I don’t want to elect a man who mouths the same untruths as so-called President of Iran - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Edward Kennedy doesn’t seem to mind. He has, after all, made a political career out of standing on the corpses of his brothers.
Scandals are no stranger to him. Bizarre stories from his family circle include death, alcoholism, heroin abuse - even one cousin beating a girl to death with a baseball bat for fun.
All forgiven, however, when he raises the specter of his sainted and dead brothers.
It’s not all in their memory, however, the people of Massachusetts have profited handsomely from the martyrdom of the Kennedy brothers as well. Under the magic cloak of their memory has come massive government contracts for weapons systems, finance schemes, data systems - you name it - it’s there. Massachusetts has become a Federal money magnet.
Along with Kennedy Massachusetts and Obama share John Kerry.
Even though he practically confessed to while in Vietnam shooting children in the face with 50 caliber bullets he nearly bought his way into the White House as the Kennedy charm turned his swift boat into a knocked-down version of PT-109.
Kerry and Kennedy have been showering down money on the campaign of Barack Husein Obama. He is their chosen child for the Presidency.
They have clearly shown their disdain for American women, in my opinion, by their personal behavior and now their political behavior comes into play. They apparently cannot stomach losing their White House bids while an intelligent woman wins the day.
Their racism is on display as well for even though they oppose a woman running for President they clearly have no problem with paying for a black man. That sort of racist and bigoted position is a throwback to the 19th century and one of the more vicious and cruel aspects of the mindset of New England. For newcomers like Kerry and Kennedy to behave like this is surprising and disgusting.
These are harsh statements but not as harsh as the reality of the depths to which Massachusetts has fallen.
Just as Barack Obama is evidence that Illinois is no longer the land of Lincoln we must as Americans admit that Massachusetts in general and Boston in particular is no longer a land of liberty.
Recall that Boston is a bastion of radical Obama support. It was also the origin point of the two planes that slammed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 and started all this madness that ended up with Barack Obama on our television sets and in our faces every day.
Recall that the members of Bin Laden’s family living in Boston and having a high time while the rest of us were working and sweating out a living. They lived their openly spending billions buying up Boston and Massachusetts.
It is a sorrow and a shame but we cannot protect ourselves if we do not face the new reality.
Illinois produced Barack Obama through a series of selfish actions and greed - typical corrupt American politics with particularly bitter fruit this time - unforgivable but understandable.
Massachusetts, on the other hand produced John Kerry and Edward Kennedy in a methodical, plodding manner to the disadvantage of the rest of us and our nation.
Their gain is their disgrace.
It is my opinion that Barack Obama - along with all the evil he brings in tow - may be the last straw to break the camel’s back in Massachusetts. We may finally see the end of the creepy political careers of Kerry and Kennedy as their futures have become tightly entwined with their Somalian presidential candidate.
To see them finally out of office will be ultimately up to the good people of Massachusetts - that is - if there are any good people left in Massachusetts.
About Barack Obama’s backers - both foreign and domestic.
Looking at John Kerry’s disputed history and what appears to be his personal sorrow and regret for his actions in Vietnam and recalling that he seems to blame those vicious actions on his country and considering his wife’s political leanings I just don’t get a warm, fuzzy feeling when I think about his place in our political system.
Then taking into account Edward Kennedy’s actions and the murders of his brothers sometimes I feel that he places the blame for all that on our nation as a whole and wants to extract some sort of restitution from us for his misfortunes.
Also taking into account that the Communist nation of Venezuela has social workers in Massachusetts and has even distributed free home heating fuel to friends there (through Citgo) I have to question what that state’s stand is when it comes to opposing the enemies of the United States.
It seems to me that we simply cannot allow this Somalian-American, Barack Obama, into the White House as President.
If the Democrats cannot offer a reasonable alternative to murder and mayhem, like Clinton, who will help bring prosperity back, then we must turn from them as a dead party and accept that John McCain will be the next President of the United States.
As ugly as that may seem it is better than electing John Kerry and Edward Kennedy by proxy.
Their dark horse would ride this nation into a dark future and we simply cannot allow that.
Obama has been offered the seat of Vice-President of the United States - pretty good for a junior Senator from Illinois - but he wants the whole ball of wax.
The question is - will our American values prevail?
Nearly all of us have seen the pictures of Obama being dressed up in turban and sheets by a Muslim chief in Kenya, Africa.
Did you know that part of Kenya he was in is actually occupied Somalia and that Obama’s father is not Kenyan - but Somalian? Like the lunatics in Mogadishu that murdered our soldiers when they went there to stop the war.
About two weeks ago American missiles were sent to strike a place in Somalia where terrorists leaders had gathered. That place was within one hour’s drive of where Obama had his Islamic fashion show and was crowned king of the desert by his dear friends and relatives.
I’ve had enough.
