Yeah Ralph Klein's support came in at 55%. It wasn't a vote against him as a person it was a vote for change and new blood. No one will ever be able to take away from Ralph Klein in what he did turning Alberta around, he should be happy with that and step down with dignity.

I don't understand why politicians announce retirement plans long before the retirement date.
Think of it like this, when Cher says she is going to retire she goes on a 2-3 year tour to say she is going to retire.

So Ralph Klein is on tour saying he is going to retire.

You can't declare yourself a lame duck and expect everyone to sit nicely and feed you pretzels and beer. 2 years of public paid schmoozing and political eulogies? In politics that's welfare. It's a power game. Give an inch and the political wolves will circle the wagon.

exactaly, the whole thing was lame, hes is acting like a kid looking for acceptance ..... I think he has just ruined it, he could of step down with style, but for some reason he chose this way.
