Queen Camilla has unveiled a foundation stone for the brand new King Charles III Sacristy building at Westminster Abbey.
The new £13 million addition to the ancient building - one of the most important buildings of Great Britain - will help preserve the abbey as a sacred space, housing state-of-the-art welcome, ticketing and security facilities.
Her Majesty also toured the abbey - where she and the King were crowned on 6th May 2023 - meeting staff and looking at the recently updated national memorial to the Brontë sisters. Her Majesty is a champion of literacy within the UK.
