TOKYO (Reuters) - A publisher has taken to Japan's top court his eight-year fight over the banning of imported images of male genitals in a book of pictures by the late American photographer Robert Mapplethorpe.

I can't imagine Japan banning anything. Generally it is a free and easy society. One can pretty well do anything as long as you don't scare the horses. I must admit that most of their sexual art is comic books, so maybe the real thing upsets some people. Who I can't imgine. My daughter lives in Japan, and she recently wrote satire on Japanese Society.
