In Vancouver it is practised rampantly without government or police intervention. Just look through the buy and sell, the back of the Province newspaper, or some of the publications out of the west end. Even the yellow pages. It is legal. Being self employed isn't illegal. They can and should report their income, declaring themselves adult entertainers. No crime in that. It's tax evasion if they aren't. The only illegal part is street prostitution. It's illegal to solicit sex in a public place.
