It sounded crazy at the time, to some…
Now for a twist. We increase military spending, drones, etc…& utilize that resource to combat/enforce our own border security domestically. This increases military spending, decreases crime, Slows down the open floodgate of handguns coming in from the US into Canada, slows down the illegal importation of fentanyl into our nation, etc…
…& gets us closer to that minimum 2%, etc…

Yeah. I was really looking forward to Molson sponsored seal bashing in Moosomin. Nice town that Moosomin, it could have been far nicer with coastal properties.
I stayed there one night last summer , all I remember is the name .

Its a bustling place, on track to be a little city. Excellent hunting. Year round hunting if into wild boar and a decent beach and regional park for pickerel.

Poilievre has a great ad out about finding better trading partners and he found one. We share similar cultures and values with them. We have the same climate. We both even have English and French as official languages. One problem, there's a trade barrier that costs $5100/yr/Canadian. That country is....Canada.

I've been questioning for a couple of decades or so now about why the hell are we seeking free trade agreements with other countries when we don't even have free trade between our own provinces? See, it's shit like that that makes me feel like Canada is a less of an actual country and more a loose federation of very self-interested regions who act like the rest of the country doesn't matter, or even exist at all.

Selling us out to a Marxist-Leninist shit hole is NOT "good" in any way shape or form. Especially if you're supposed to be a goddam conservative.
I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe it's the Marxist-Leninist thing. There really are no Marxist-Leninist countries left in the world. Might as well say "trans paedophile." From you it's just a general hate/fear term. It means "scary monster" to you.

Google "Marxist-Leninist" countries. First on the list: China. Technically the CCP's ideology today is "Xi Jinping Thought on Marxist-Leninism with Chinese Characteristics" or some such bullshit.

Might as well educate yourself on the insidiousness of Chinese communism. And it ain't just in China, home fries. There are Chinese "pro-democracy" groups in the US and other Western nations that are actually CCP plants. Their job is to gather names and other information on actual pro-democracy Chinese people so the CCP can engage in a bit of rendition.

Now, let me explain the agreement Harper made with China using a hockey analogy. Team Canada can only play on a little patch of ice in China. Team Canada can't argue bad calls and has no recourse for financial loss due to the CPP changing new rules.
Team China on the other hand has the entire country of Canada to play in. Is allowed to argue bad calls and has recourse for financial loss if the Canadian govt changes the rules.

Probably the worst agreement since Neville Chamberlain "negotiated" peace with Hitler.

China is a rich, large country looking to extend its footprint and power by means overt and covert.

Well, THAT's never happened before!

China isnt as rich as you think. Bulk of the population is over 45 thanks to 1 child policy the upcoming generation if half the size. 20+% of them are unemployed. The real estate crash hit hard. China will have to ditch it racist ways and allow immigration.

With some serious buckling down the one trillion US owes China could be paid off. It takes away financial leverage from Beijing.
