The great tomato crisis :lol: From that show I became fond of fresh tomato sandwiches and black licorice. He truly had a way of drawing everyone in, and he loved canada. Give me a snapshot of your favorite place? Take me to a place on the prairies. He was delightful 8)

One of my favourite "Peter moments":

He was interviewing (by phone) a grizzled old rancher from the BC Interior about ranching and cows, etc. At one point, he asked the old rancher; "Tell me something - Are cows really as stupid as people think they are?'

The rancher paused a moment, then replied: "Well, I'll tell ya something, Peter.... they're at least smart enough not to raise cattle for a living!"

I though Peter was going to wet his chair.... :lol: :lol: :lol:
