Orca is the last surviving mail plane service in BC as far as I know. There has been mail flown to/from Vancouver - Victoria/Nanaimo/Comox/Powell River since the invention of the airplane, but it may be coming to en end.
The daily business mail from branches to head offices is done more and more electronically now, so there is ever fewer reasons to fly this service. The only way it has ever worked is by cutting corners.
